Mecanismos lingüísticos y discursivos de la argumentación
1995
2020
"Matei Vișniec’s dramatic universe is characterized by its frequent mises en abyme and metalepsis. Therefore, total or partial reflections of the work in the work, as well as transgressions between reality and fiction, or between the different levels of fiction in the same work are frequent. In this specular and metaleptic kaleidoscope, the encounters between the author and the characters are particularly relevant. These encounters reveal the author’s attitude towards power and censorship, as well as his subversive methods. However, they are also related to the deep tensions of the author’s creative process."
2022
This paper analyses, based on Genette's theory of hypertextuality, the relationship between translation and reception and the rewrites that derive from it. Leaving aside translation as a serious transformation or transposition, it focuses, first, on exploring translation as the only possible mediation to ensure the reader's familiarity with the foreign hypotext transformed by the hypertext, from the translation of Mark Twain's El Diari d'Eva and the Catalan hypertexts. Secondly, it approaches reception as a hypertextual requirement with the study of Hi ha homes que ploren perquè el sol es pon, by Francesc Trabal, a parody of Faust which, to a large extent, is explained as a playful reaction…
Dietary exposure assessment to mycotoxins through total diet studies. A review
2019
Mycotoxins are secondary metabolites of fungi that contaminate food in several stages and their increasing presence in food chain demand further control. Assessment of mycotoxins human exposure through processed diet is an important component of food safety strategies. The present review explores and summarises total diet studies (TDS) carried out in different countries focusing on mycotoxins determination. TDS were classified by samples preparation, mycotoxins analysis and dietary exposure evaluation. Most of reviewed TDS performed multi-mycotoxins analysis in composite samples mainly, prepared taking into account local culinary habits. High performance liquid chromatography coupled with f…
Mycobiota and mycotoxin producing fungi from cocoa beans.
2008
The present study reports on the natural mycobiota occurring in cocoa beans, paying special attention to the incidence of fungal species that are potential producers of mycotoxins. The results show that predominant fungi were different species of the genus Aspergillus belonging to section Flavi and Nigri. Of the 214 strains of Aspergillus section Flavi collected from cocoa beans, 120 were identified as A. flavus and 94 as A. tamarii. Of Aspergillus section Nigri 138 strains were isolated, with 132 belonging to A. niger aggregate and 6 to A. carbonarius species. Potential ability to produce aflatoxins (AFs) B1, B2, G1 and G2, cyclopiazonic acid (CPA) and ochratoxin A (OTA) was studied by iso…
Determination of Aflatoxins and Ochratoxins in Sicilian Sweet Wines by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography with Fluorometric Detection and Immunoa…
2015
Ochratoxin A is the only mycotoxins with legal limits in the European Union for wine, by contrast, there is no EU legislation imposed for Aflatoxins and Ochratoxin B. A reproducible and sensitive analytical method for six mycotoxins: Ochratoxin A, Ochratoxin B, Aflatoxins B1, Aflatoxin B2, Aflatoxin G1 and Aflatoxin G2 was developed by using immunoaffinity column cleanup and HPLC-FLD method in 30 sweet wines produced in Sicily. This typical type of wine is manufactured from grapes grown in warmer climates, which have a higher sugar content; also, the over-ripening and the drying process of the grapes before fermentation conditions are responsible for the particular susceptibility of these b…
Predominant mycotoxins, mycotoxigenic fungi and climate change related to wine
2017
Wine is a significant contributor to the economies of many countries. However, the commodity can become contaminated with mycotoxins produced by certain fungi. Most information on mycotoxins in wine is from Spain, Italy and France. Grapes can be infected by mycotoxigenic fungi, of which Aspergillus carbonarius producing ochratoxin A (OTA) is of highest concern. Climate is the most important factor in determining contamination once the fungi are established, with high temperatures being a major factor for OTA contamination: OTA in wine is at higher concentrations in warmer southern Europe than northern. Contamination by fumonisins is a particular concern, related to Aspergillus niger produci…
Microbiological and safety evaluation of green table olives marketed in Italy
2011
The microbiological and safety conditions of green table olives sold on the Italian market were evaluated on 40 samples, 20 loose and 20 packed in containers, purchased at street markets and supermarkets. The olives were analyzed for microflora and food safety indices, and for aflatoxin B1 and ochratoxin A occurrence, and the results showed acceptable security. There was wide heterogeneity in the microflora, the numerical values being in relation to the olive type. The microbial population was dominated by the yeasts and lactic bacteria responsible for the fermentation process, and their numbers, together with the metabolic activity, led to conditions unfavorable for the development of path…
