Legitimiteetti tai legitiimisyys on yksi Yhdistyneiden kansakuntien (YK) toiminnan kannalta keskeisistä käsitteistä, joka linkittyy myös monenkeskiseen yhteistyöhön ja siihen sitoutumiseen. Tässä katsausartikkelissa tarkastellaan YK:n legitimiteettiä yleiskokouksen näkökulmasta ja kysytään, miten yleiskokouksen uudistamista koskeva keskustelu vaikuttaa puolestaan koko YK:n legitimiteettiin. Attributed to Jean Gossart (called Mabuse) at the time of its sending in Spain at the end of the sixteenth century, the painting was the object of incessant discussions in the term of which the authorship of the work was revised to be finally given to Bernard van Orley because of the figuration of the Virgin. How do people understand belonging and what kinds of stances toward belonging do they take? What kind of knowledge or ways of knowing (EISNER, 2008) does artistic practice yield about belonging? We ask these questions in this article, which is based on the research project Crossing Borders, in which we used participatory arts-based methods to study belonging. We invited participants to explore the notion of belonging in three parallel workshops drawing on different art forms, film, writing and visual arts. Lesions to the posterior insular cortex cause dysarthria

Background: Up to now, there are few systematic studies in a sufficient number of patients with lesions involving the insular cortex (IC) examining whether damage of the IC is directly related to dysarthria. Thus, this is the first study applying modern voxel-lesion behaviour mapping (VLBM) aimed to examine whether the IC is involved in dysarthria – and if so – which part of the IC is involved. Methods: Twenty-five patients with acute stroke lesions affecting the IC and peri-insular region were investigated employing VLBM analysis. Objective— Continuous administration of nitroglycerin (GTN) causes tolerance and endothelial dysfunction by inducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) production from various enzymatic sources, such as mitochondria, NADPH oxidase, and an uncoupled endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS). However, simplified average features of this complex dataset may result in loss of primary information and fail to express associations between test performance and clinically meaningful outcomes.
