Šajā darbā tiek apskatīts biomasas termiskās sadalīšanas matemātiskais modelis. Biomasa tiek apskatīta kā poraina vide. Biomasa termiski sadalās pēc Arēniusa likuma. Biomasai sadaloties izdalās gāze. Gāze reaģē ar skābekli temperatūras ietekmē pēc Arēniusa likuma, radot siltumu. Siltumu, gāzes un skābekļa koncentrācijas apraksta ar reakcijas-difūzijas-konvekcijas diferenciālvienādojumiem. Uz gāzveida vielām darbojas Darsī likums ātrumam un masas balansa vienādojums. Modelim skaitliski atrisināts izmantojot galīgo tilpuma metodi, upwind metodi un galīgo diferenču shēmu. Skaitliskās simulācijas izstrādātas datorprogrammā MatLab.

The article, which refers to the research on the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth’s military history in the 18th century and the crisis of Old Polish war art, presents the genesis, course and effects of the battle of Kowalewo of 5 October 1716. Epistolographic material, press and chronicle accounts along with plans of two battles constitute the source base. These primary sources were given a critical analysis, the acquired information being collated and verified in order to obtain a reasonably precise picture of the causes, course and consequences of the battle. Otrā tipa cukura diabēta un astmas sastopamība pēdējās dekādēs ir krietni palielinājusies, sasniedzot epidēmijas apmērus. Pēdējās divas desmitgadēs ir publicēti pētījumi, kas liecina, ka pacientiem ar 2.tipa cukura diabētu ir samazināti plaušu funkcionālie rādītāji. Pētījumu skaits par cukura diabēta negatīvajiem aspektiem un komplikācijām, kas saistītas ar plaušu funkcijas traucējumiem, ir salīdzinoši neliels un rezultāti pretrunīgi. Mūsu pētījumā tika izvirzīta hipotēze, ka pacientiem ar 2.tipa cukura diabētu ir lielāks risks saslimt ar bronhiālo astmu.
