Following the Job Demands-Resources model’s motivational process, this study investigates the role of person-organisation fit and work engagement as mediating processes between ethical culture and employee commitment, where ethical culture is seen as an organisational resource. It was expected that the stronger the ethical values and practices are experienced to be, the more compatible employees feel with the organisation. A good person-organisation fit was further hypothesised to act as a personal job resource for the employees, who would consequently experience higher work engagement leading to stronger affective commitment and less turnover intentions. The present paper analyses and validates a path model of the relation between male and female work satisfaction (dependent variable) and various psychological and economic variables (like wages, work certainty, work stress, core self-valuations and personal happies approach: hedonia or eudaemonia). The data analyzed comes from two author's projects, evaluating the sources of worker happiness: N = 1021 (Walczak, 2014) and N = 1105 (2015). The results indicate an partial mediation relation of gender on the perceived job satisfaction.

Many European families are affected by the 24/7 economy, but relatively little is known about how working parents experience nonstandard hours. The aim of this study was to analyze the possible associations of dual earners’ work schedules and other work-related factors with their experience of time- and strain-based work–family conflict. These phenomena were examined among dual earners living in Finland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, countries that differ in working time practices and policies. This research investigated the congruence between the ideologies of political parties and the ideological preferences (N = 1515), moral intuitions (N = 1048), and political values and worldviews (N = 1345) of diverse samples of Swedish adults who voted or intended to vote for the parties. Logistic regression analyses yielded support for a series of hypotheses about variations in ideology beyond the left-right division. Rekrutacji osób badanych dokonano za pomocą metody kuli śnieżnej drogą internetową.
