Structure and Photocatalytic Properties of TiO2-WO3Composites Prepared by Electrophoretic Deposition

In this work TiO2-WO3 composite films containing different oxide concentrations were prepared by electrophoretic deposition on steel substrates. Composite coating structures were analyzed by X -ray diffraction, Raman spectra and scanning electron microscopy. The results showed an even distribution of WO3 particles in the entire composite layer. Light absorption measurements were used for photocatalytic properties evaluation. It was found that the removal ratio of methylene blue depends on the (TiO2):(WO3) concentration ratio. Theoretical and Experimental Study of Polarization Modulation Instability in All-Normal Dispersion Photonic Crystal Fibers

Experimental observation of polarization modulation instability in all-normal dispersion photonic crystal fibers is reported. Stokes and anti-Stokes sidebands with spectral shift of 40 nm were observed when the fiber was pumped at 1064 nm. Experimental results are baked by a vectorial four-wave mixing model.
On the autocorrelation function of Rice processes for unsymmetrical doppler power spectral densities

In this paper, we derive an analytical expression for the ACF of Rice processes in the general case of unsymmetrical Doppler power spectral densities. This expression, which is obtained based on the multidimensional Gaussian distribution approach, is shown to cover the ACF of Rayleigh processes as a special case. Various numerical examples are presented to illustrate the impact of the channel parameters on the ACF. Computer simulations, considering the von Mises distribution for the angle of arrivals, are also performed to check the validity of the analytical result. Finally, the analysis of the covariance spectrum is addressed.

Thermodynamic behaviour is observed from the classical point of view, and conditional division into macro-, meso-, micro- and nano-approaches is presented. Processes of physical and chemical adsorption on the surface are presented from the energy and structure aspects. The occurrence of electronic states of the surface is presented from the classical point of view in comparison with molecular electronic states. A Method of Conversion of some Coefficient Inverse Parabolic Problems to a Unified Type of Integral-Differential Equation

Coefficient inverse problems are reformulated to a unified integral differential equation. The presented method of conversion of the considered inverse problems to a unified Volterra integral-differential equation gives an opportunity to distribute the acquired results also to analogous inverse problems for non-linear parabolic equations of different types.

We survey some recent work related to electrochromic W-oxide-based thin films. The electronic structure of cubic (perovskite) WO3 and HWO3 was calculated from first principles. It was found, among other things, that hydroxide formation was energetically favored. Experimental studies were made on films prepared by reactive magnetron sputtering in Ar + O2 with and without CF4 addition and substrate bias. Nous presentons la premiere observation experimentale de similaritons optiques generes par amplification Raman a 1550 nm dans une fibre a dispersion decalee. Une caracterisation FROG des impulsions indique un profil d'intensite parabolique et un chirp lineaire conformes aux predictions theoriques.

In this chapter we introduce the classes of polaroid-type operators, i.e., those operators T ∈ L(X) for which the isolated points of the spectrum σ(T) are poles of the resolvent, or the isolated points of the approximate point spectrum σap(T) are left poles of the resolvent. We also consider the class of all hereditarily polaroid operators, i.e., those operators T ∈ L(X) for which all the restrictions to closed invariant subspaces are polaroid. The class of polaroid operators, as well as the class of hereditarily polaroid operators, is very large.
