Websites are one of the most frequently used communication environments, and creating sustainable web designs should be an objective for all companies. Ensuring high usability is proving to be one of the main contributors to sustainable web design, reducing usage time, eliminating frustration and increasing satisfaction and retention. Il contributo esamina le sculture lignee custodite nelle chiese di Caltabellotta, piccolo centro siciliano della provincia di Agrigento. Si tratta di opere, perlopiù in discreto stato di conservazione, realizzate dalla metà del Cinquecento agli inizi dell’Ottocento. Pore and mineral structure of rock using nano-tomographic imaging

ABSTRACTIn order to better understand the micrometer-scale structure of rock and its transport properties which arise from it, seven monomineral samples from two sites (Olkiluoto and Sievi, Finland) were studied with micro- and nanotomography and scanning electron microscopy. From the veined gneiss of Olkiluoto we studied biotite, potassium feldspar, plagioclase (composition of oligoclase) and cordierite, and from Sievi tonalite biotite and two grains of plagioclase (albite). These minerals were the main minerals of these samples. The purpose of this contribution is to re-examine the iconography of an Etruscan hydria by the Micali Painter, probably the most famous craftsman of the black-figure ceramics technique at the end of the 6th century B.C. In our opinion, this vase would present the Etruscan version of a Greek myth showing the ancient Tuscans as pirates attempting to kidnap Dionysus. This figuration, which also appears in Greek sources, could be interpreted as the rivalry between the two cultures for the control of the wine trade in the western part of the Mediterranean.
