Resistance to change: a literature review and empirical study

This paper examines organizational change, focusing on the distinction of changes according to their scope and presenting a typology of evolutionary and strategic changes. It also offers an in‐depth study of resistance to change. Through empirical research, the paper analyzes the importance of the sources of resistance to change defined theoretically, and considers both types of changes. The article shows which sources of resistance differ most, according to the scope of change, offering hints about where organizations should pay special attention when initiating a change process.

Societal adoption of mobile phones and other digital devices, and the resulting widespread digital literacy, allows for new possibilities in approaching and supporting faceto-face therapy. In this study, we examined the application of digital communication tools and media within therapeutic care by 33 psychologists across Australia. Uses of digital technologies were analyzed with a focus on both the approaches applied within face-to-face therapy sessions and those occurring as an adjunct to these sessions. The role of utility models in patent filing strategies: evidence from European countries

We examine the role of utility models (UM) in patent filing strategies. With an extensive patent family data from European countries, we explore the structures and characteristics of patent families, which include UMs. A simple typology of patent families with UM members is introduced. We document that the geographical scope of most patent families with UM members is purely national, which is in line with the conventional view that the UM mechanism covers technologically and economically marginal inventions. Commercial Ultra-High-Speed Cameras for framing rates over 50,000 f.p.s. are very expensive and yield a small number of frames (8 to 24) per run. The single-flash technique with increasing delays gives photographs at a high framing rate over a comparatively long time and, as described here, requires no special electronic equipment except a good flash unit and a general-purpose oscilloscope.

Objectives This study evaluated the maximum depth and percentage of irrigant penetration into dentinal tubules by passive ultrasonic irrigation (PUI). Materials and Methods Thirty extracted human teeth were instrumented and divided into three groups. According to final irrigation regimen, 5.25% sodium hypochlorite (Group A, NaOCl), 2% chlorhexidine (Group B, CHX) and saline solution (Group C, control group) were applied with Irrisafe 20 tips (Acteon) and PUI. Summary Using solution and solid-state analyses, we demonstrate that the tripodal N-methylated(1,3,5-benzene-tricarboxamide)-tris(phenylurea) BTA ligands, possessing urea functionalities in the meta position, are able to form extended self-assembly 2D networks via hydrogen bonding templated by sulfate (SO42–). The divergence of the urea binding sites confers a propeller-like conformation to the ligands and is key to formation of the self-assemblies.
