Dimensione popolare della scultura barocca in Argentina

Da sempre trascurata dalla storia dell’arte perché ritenuta negazione del formalismo, la scultura in Argentina, barocca e popolare insieme, oggi intriga gli studiosi che riscoprono nella sua struttura valenze formali, antropologiche e teologiche, in grado di significare la complessità esistenziale di quel Paese. Il presente saggio, supportato da testi documentari e critici, mette in luce la forza di un linguaggio decorativo che trae ragioni sia dalla cultura europea sia dalla civiltà sudamericana. Pertanto l’immaginario plastico non ripete moduli iberici o italiani, ma traduce una realtà altra, pregna di fede e magia, di cristianesimo e animismo.

In Brussels in 1549 Charles V commissioned four bronze and four marble sculptures from Leone Leoni, to which were added new orders. The sculptor worked on them, especially the bronzes, in Milan, and they were shipped to Spain along with other works at the time of the arrival of the Emperor and the Court. This article discusses the history and evolution of the marbles and a bust (Prado Museum: E-260, E-262, E-267, E-269, E-291), which were sent from Genoa to Cartagena, where they remained until 1568. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the capacity of communities to support resilience of members deserves to be assessed to develop programs for improving mental health of affected populations. This article presents the development of the Transcultural-Community Resilience Scale (T-CRS), its underlying factorial structure and transcultural validity with a multilingual (English, French, Creole, Kinyarwanda), multinational (DR Congo, Haiti, Rwanda, Togo) and multicultural sample affected by this pandemic. This paper deals about the changes happened in the procession of the Corpus Christi in Seville. We have news of that from 1363, and along the following centuries, but the most interesting is the way the procession is represented by two series of drawings one from 1747, and the other from 1866.
