La gestione della crisi coniugale attraverso il procedimento collaborativo. Uno studio comparatistico

2016

Family law disputes involve a wide range of emotions affecting the couples and, in particular, their children. The adversary system is not often adequate to manage the resolution of the conflicts between husband and wife, because it stresses the hostility and prevents a normal dialogue, that would be very useful for a peaceful relationship after the divorce. The collaborative method, by contrast, is a settlement-oriented process where parties cooperate fairly in negotiations, assisted by their lawyers, and attempt to solve the family disputes with an equitable agreement. The collaborative law process has two main features: first of all, the lawyers who have assisted their clients in negotia…

Les colloïdes solubles du vin de champagne. Relation avec le « remuage »

1978

Influence of retinol on human chondrocytes in agarose culture

1992

Vitamin A and its congeners, collectively called retinoids, are known to have teratogenic potential and have induced craniofacial and limb malformations in numerous animal species. More importantly, retinoids are recognized as teratogenic to fetuses of pregnant women who have taken such preparations for dermatologic disorders. Information gathered from the study of animal models suggests that retinoids interfere with cartilage differentiation. If chondrogenesis in limb development is disturbed it may contribute to limb reductions and malformations. In vitro studies using various animal systems have shown that cartilage matrix macromolecules are altered to resemble those secreted by mesenchy…

Pharmacological prevention of eNOS uncoupling.

2013

Under physiological conditions, nitric oxide (NO) is produced in the vasculature mainly by the endothelial NO synthase (eNOS). This endothelium-derived NO is a protective molecule with antihypertensive, antithrombotic and anti-atherosclerotic properties. Cardiovascular risk factors such as hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, cigarette smoking and diabetes mellitus induce oxidative stress mostly by stimulation of the NADPH oxidase. Overproduction of reactive oxygen species leads to oxidation of tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4), the essential cofactor of eNOS. In BH4 deficiency, oxygen reduction uncouples from NO synthesis, thereby converting eNOS to a superoxide- producing enzyme. Consequently, NO …

Sepiapterin reductase in cultured human cells.

1987

Sepiapterin reductase, an enzyme involved in the synthesis of tetrahydrobiopterin (the natural cofactor for phenylalanine, tyrosine and tryptophan hydroxylases), has been assayed in cultured human amniotic fibroblasts and in cultured mononuclear blood cells. In both cases, the Michaelis constants for sepiapterin and NADPH were essentially equal; 20 microM and 6 microM respectively for stimulated mononuclear blood cells and 22 microM and 5 microM respectively for amniotic fibroblasts. The inhibition by N-acetylserotonin was also similar in both cases. The concentration that produced 50% inhibition in stimulated mononuclear blood cells and in amniotic fibroblasts was 2 microM. The results str…

Sepiolinae (Mollusca: Cephalopoda) from the Strait of Sicily

1997

Nine species belonging to three genera of the subfamily Sepiolinae (Leach, 1817) were collected in the Strait of Sicily by two series of bottom trawl surveys carried out during the years 1985-87 and 1992: Sepiola rondeletii, Sepiola intermedia, Sepiola ligulata, Sepiola robusta, Sepiola affinis, Sepietta oweniana, Sepietta neglecta, Sepietta obscura and Rondeletiola minor. For each species, abundance, distribution, sex ratio and maturity condition were analysed. S. oweniana was the most abundant species, followed by R. minor, while the single record of S. ligulata indicates that the species is rare in the area. The bathymetric distributions observed generally agree with what is known for th…

On the interpretation of the Raman spectra of Maya Blue: a review on the literature data

2011

The Raman spectroscopy of Maya Blue (MB), a nanostructured organic–inorganic hybrid material, has received considerable attention. A re-evaluation of the Raman literature data for indigo dye, genuine MB samples and model specimens obtained by the binding of indigo to phyllosilicate clays, such as palygorskite and sepiolite, using chemometric analysis of normalised spectra is reported. Available data present features in support of the following ideas: (1) dehydroindigo accompanies indigo in MB; (2) different topological isomers, i.e. dye molecules attached to different coordinative sites of the palygorskite framework, are involved in MB; and (3) different procedures were probably used for pr…
