The wide-field imager for IXO: status and future activities

The Wide Field Imager (WFI) of the International X-ray Observatory (IXO) is an X-ray imaging spectrometer based on a large monolithic DePFET (Depleted P-channel Field Effect Transistor) Active Pixel Sensor. Filling an area of 10 x 10 cm2 with a format of 1024 x 1024 pixels it will cover a field of view of 18 arcmin. The pixel size of 100 x 100 μm2 corresponds to a fivefold oversampling of the telescope's expected 5 arcsec point spread function. The WFI's basic DePFET structure combines the functionalities of sensor and integrated amplifier with nearly Fano-limited energy resolution and high efficiency from 100 eV to 15 keV. LOFT: the Large Observatory For X-ray Timing

The LOFT mission concept is one of four candidates selected by ESA for the M3 launch opportunity as Medium Size missions of the Cosmic Vision programme. The launch window is currently planned for between 2022 and 2024. LOFT is designed to exploit the diagnostics of rapid X-ray flux and spectral variability that directly probe the motion of matter down to distances very close to black holes and neutron stars, as well as the physical state of ultra-dense matter. These primary science goals will be addressed by a payload composed of a Large Area Detector (LAD) and a Wide Field Monitor (WFM). Darba mērķis ir piedāvāt labāku prognozēšanas metodi aviācijas drošības pārbaudes kontrolpunktam, kas ļautu veidot un plānot precīzākus kontrolpunkta pārbaudes līniju darba grafikus. Precīzāki darba grafiki ļautu samazināt rindā gaidīšanas laiku, un ļautu pasažieriem ātrāk iziet drošības pārbaudi, bet no uzņēmējdarbības puses netiktu atvērtas pārāk daudz drošības pārbaudes līnijas, tādējādi izmantojot personāla resursu jaudu pilnībā. Tika izmantotas trīs datu kopas – izpildīto reisu datu tabula, pasažieru skenētās iekāpšanas kartes, dati par gaisa kuģu tipiem un to kapacitāti. Nel contributo in oggetto l'autore, muovendo dalla decisione delle Sezioni Unite della Cassazione n. 61 del 7 gennaio 2014, coglie l'occasione per riesaminare le vecchie e nuove problematiche sottese all’intervento dei creditori nel processo esecutivo. Il primo tema affrontato è quello della par condicio creditorum, che viene esaminata nella sua storia evolutiva dal Code Napoleon, al suo periodo di massima estensione, dato dal codice del 1940, fino al suo ridimensionamento a seguito delle riforme del 2005. Lai izveidotu maģistra darbu “Speciālo ekonomisko zonu attīstība un novērtējums Latvijā”, tika izvirzīts mērķis veikt speciālo ekonomisko zonu izvērtējumu, tādējādi noskaidrojot zonu ietekmi uz reģionu rādītājiem, attīstību un nākotnes perspektīvas. Darba ietvaros tiek izvērtētas speciālo ekonomisko zonu attīstība un nākotnes iespējas, balstoties uz pieejamo literatūru. Tā pat darba ietvaros ir veikta SVID analīze un piedāvāts SEZ efektivitātes novērtēšanas modelis. Maģistra darbs sastāv no 84 lappusēm, kurās iekļautas 3 tabulas, 7 attēli, 9 grafiki. Papildus darbā ir iekļauti 2 pielikumi.
The Geometry of a Domed Architecture: A Stately Example of Kārbandi at Bagh-e Dolat Abad in Yazd

This paper analyses the kārbandi of the Hashti pavilion at Bagh-e-Dolat Abad in Yazd. Kārbandi is a spatial system obtained through the projection of a star-shaped drawing onto a curved surface. It is characterised by a complex use of geometry and repetitive symmetry. The analysis of its geometrical aspects contributes to an understanding of the traditional rules underlying the original design. The kārbandi of the octagonal vestibule of the Hashti pavilion consists of a complex roof system that completes the octagonal volume of the room below; its intrados presents a pattern of interlocking ribbed arches. La premessa critica dalla quale muove l’analisi è che le norme in materia di immigrazione possono aggravare in modo significativo le condizioni di vita, la capacità ed il diritto di autodeterminarsi delle donne migranti. Ciò vale sia per le norme di diritto derivato dell'UE che per le legislazioni nazionali applicabili.
