Abstract The nature of evaluation and self-evaluation in simultaneous interpretation is based on the close connection between the main text (the version proposed by the speaker) and the interpreter's version. Between these two elements a number of variables emerge, that can damage the efficiency and the accuracy of simultaneous interpretation. Constructing co-presence through shared VR gameplay

This study analyzes how participants playing VR games construct co-presence and shared gameplay. The analysis focuses on instances of play where one person is wearing the VR equipment, and other participants are located nearby without the ability to directly interact with the game. We first show how the active player using the VR equipment draws on talk and embodied activity to signal their presence in the shared physical environment, while simultaneously conducting actions in the virtual space, and thus creates spaces for the other participants to take part in gameplay. Tutkimuksen tavoite oli kehittää pk-yrityksen viestintää ja markkinointia. Tutkittava yritys on keskisuomalainen perheyritys, joka on toiminut viestintä- ja mainosalalla yli 20 vuotta. Sillä on kaksi toimipistettä, joista toinen on Savossa. Tutkimuksen tarkoitus oli arvioida yrityksen nykytila sekä esittää kehittämisehdotuksia eli käytännössä tehdä asioita, joita yrittäjät eivät ole itse ehtineet tehdä työkiireidensä vuoksi. Tutkimus toteutettiin toimintatutkimuksena, johon otettiin ajallisesti kaksi vertailukohtaa. Korejiešu valodas slengs masu medijos 21. gadsimtā

Bakalaura darbā ir apskatīts un analizēts slenga lietojums un tulkojums masu medijos Korejā, 21. gadsimtā. Darba mērķis ir izprast un tulkot Korejiešu valodas slengu, lai atvieglotu valodas un kultūras izpratni. Darbā ņemtas vērā citu valodu ietekmes uz korejiešu valodu, kā arī masu medijos izmantotie neliterārie termini. Pētījuma teorētiskajā daļā aplūkoti slenga un masu mediju definējumi, kā arī vēsturiskā un mūsdienu ārvalstu ietekme uz korejiešu valodu. Būtiska uzmanība veltīta slengam, tā skaidrojumam korejiešu valodā un tulkojumam. Savukārt darba praktiskajā daļā analizēti armijā, darbā un ikdienas dzīvē, pārraidēs un internetā lietotie slenga piemēri un tulkojumi.
Sports teams as complex adaptive systems: manipulating player numbers shapes behaviours during football small-sided games

Small-sided and conditioned games (SSCGs) in sport have been modelled as complex adaptive systems. Research has shown that the relative space per player (RSP) formulated in SSCGs can impact on emergent tactical behaviours. In this study we adopted a systems orientation to analyse how different RSP values, obtained through manipulations of player numbers, influenced four measures of interpersonal coordination observed during performance in SSCGs. For this purpose we calculated positional data (GPS 15 Hz) from ten U-15 football players performing in three SSCGs varying in player numbers (3v3, 4v4 and 5v5). The problem of minimization of a smoothing functional under inequality constraints is considered in a hyperplane. The conditions of the existence of a solution are obtained and some properties of this solution are investigated. It is proved that the solution is a spline.
