La chapelle Notre-Dame du Chemin est un site emblématique de la côte viticole, à environ 5 km au NE de Beaune, sur le territoire de la commune de Ladoix-Serrigny en Côte-d’Or. Le diagnostic archéologique réalisé au pied de l’actuel édifice s’est déroulé du 5 au 9 mars 2018. En dépit d’une emprise limitée au fuseau d’un futur réseau de drainage, l’opération a permis de documenter l’évolution de l’environnement de la chapelle depuis la fin du premier Moyen Âge jusqu’à nos jours. Definition of Water Meter Substitution Plans based on a Composite Indicator

This paper presents a water meter substitution plan based on a composite "Replacement indicator" which was defined and compared with common substitution strategies based on meter age and on run-to-fail approaches. The methodology was applied to one of the 17 sub-networks in which the Palermo city water distribution network (Italy) is divided. The analysis was carried out considering a substitution budget limitation and the results showed that the use of "Replacement indicator" outperform the classical substitution strategies based on meter age because it takes into account some other variables that may affect meter precision and wearing. Tämä tutkielma käsittelee edustuksellisuuskäsityksiä vuosien 1732 - 1734 valmisteverokriisin ja vuosien 1765 - 1766 leimaverokriisin aikana. Valmisteverokriisillä viitataan Sir Robert Walpolen, Britannian ensimmäisen pääministerin, verouudistuksen aiheuttamaan poliittiseen kuohuntaan. This dissertation applies and develops the broad framework of environmental and ecological justice. It is a new relational approach to justice, whose elements have been introduced by David Schlosberg in his works on environmental and ecological justice. The present study provides a systematisation of the framework and applies it to contemporary environmental topics using the methods of conceptual analysis and case-implication critique. International audience; Pressure vessels must be periodically proof tested. Traditional techniques for metal vessels are inapplicable for composite vessels as the latter do not break by crack propagation so that the reasoning behind the traditional testing procedures is not appropriate. Damage accumulation leading to the degradation of a composite vessel is by fibre failure. Fibres show a wide distribution in strengths and loading a composite inevitably breaks some. The method which has been developed is supported by an analysis of delayed fibre failure due to the relaxation of the resin around fibre breaks. Restoration of a XVII Century’s predella reliquary: From Physico-Chemical Characterization to the Conservation Process

We report on the restoration of a XVII century’s predella reliquary, which is a part of a larger setup that includes a wall reliquary and a wooden crucified Christ, both belonging to the church of “Madre Maria SS. Assunta”, in Polizzi Generosa, Sicily, Italy. The historical/artistic and paleographic research was flanked successfully by the scientific objective characterization of the materials. The scientific approach was relevant in the definition of the steps for the restoration of the artefact. The optical microscopy was used for the identification of the wood species.
