The Chandra COSMOS Survey (C-COSMOS) is a large, 1.8 Ms, Chandra} program that has imaged the central 0.5 sq.deg of the COSMOS field (centered at 10h, +02deg) with an effective exposure of ~160ksec, and an outer 0.4sq.deg. area with an effective exposure of ~80ksec. The limiting source detection depths are 1.9e-16 erg cm(-2) s(-1) in the Soft (0.5-2 keV) band, 7.3e(-16) erg cm^-2 s^-1 in the Hard (2-10 keV) band, and 5.7e(-16) erg cm(-2) s(-1) in the Full (0.5-10 keV) band. El catálogo de su obra está aún por realizar. El presente estudio pretende dar a conocer un lienzo para altar que representa la Inmaculada Concepción y que se encuentra en el Monasterio del Santo Sepulcro de Alcoy, del que se conserva un lienzo preparatorio en el Museo Lázaro Galdiano. Polymeric membranes are currently adopted in water purification processes, such as reverse osmosis (RO) and membrane distillation (MD). This latter technique is very promising for separation effectiveness and energy savings. Abstract Pressure retarded osmosis has been proposed for power generation from a salinity gradient resource. The process has been promoted as a promising technology for power generation from renewable resources, but most of the experimental work has been done on a laboratory size units. To date, pressure retarded osmosis optimization and operation is based on parametric studies performed on laboratory scale units, which leaves a gap in our understanding of the process behaviour in a full-scale modular system. La búsqueda de una respuesta europea al problema planteado por los brotes epidémicos de poliomielitis en las décadas centrales del siglo XX, desembocó en la creación de un organismo nuevo, la Asociación Europea contra la Poliomielitis en 1951. Los mecanismos de funcionamiento interno y las conexiones internacionales de dicha Asociación fueron subsidiarios de un determinado contexto socio-político que propiciaba este tipo de consorcios. Como muestra este trabajo, su labor en los dieciocho años de existencia fue decisiva para la articulación y el éxito alcanzado por las políticas sanitarias nacionales de inmunización masiva frente a la enfermedad.
