2019

Inspired by the memories of her own difficult childhood in the shadow of the war, Nathalie Sarraute attempts to show the specificity of this period. In Tropismes (tr. Tropisms) and Enfance (tr. Childhood), she attempts to capture and present the child’s psychological experiences, at the same time refuting the stereotypes associated with this period in life. From the pen of the representative of the so-called new novel, there emerges an evolving image of a child: from a submissive/subordinate being, feeling shame or fear (because of his/her own distinctness), and lack of love, to an independent, liberated being rejecting conventions, sensible and sensitive, ready to accomplish his/her goals …

The role of religious institutions in the process of reconciliation and peacebuilding : a case study of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Ahmići, Trusina and B…

2020

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a young, post-conflict and ethnically divided country in Europe. It is well known for being the scene of a conflict centred on religious divisions. For the researcher, this raises a number of interesting questions. What is the role of religious institutions in conflict and peacebuilding? Why is religion politicised? Can religious dialogue be perceived as a factor in the process of reconciling opposing ethnic communities; in this case, Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks? A section of this article is devoted to the stories of survivors from Bosniak, Croatian and Serbian families1. Each of these three ethnic groups suffered during the massacres in Ahmići, Trusina and Bradina,…

Kobiece poszukiwanie straconego czasu w powieści Tanji Stupar Trifunović "Satovi u majčinoj sobi"

2021

The aim of the article is to present a specifically female approach to memory in Tanja Stupar Trifunović’s novel Satovi u majćinoj sobi (Clocks in My Motherś Room). The novel is a kind of herstory; the Bosnian author reconstructed his own memory of the past after mothers death and initiated a female genealogy in her family this way. The form in which she manages to achieve this is an open mosaic novel. Full of ambivalence, home memory is a main element of the narrator’s identity, struggling with creative challenges and doubts because she is a writer. The story follows the rhythm of memory, the focus is on the mother-daughter and daughter-mother relationship, and the autobiographical memory …

Noguruma novērtēšana ar krāsu dimensionalitātes testu

2015

Land Snail Communities in Limestone Gorges from the Southern Part of the Metaliferi Mountains (Apuseni Mountains, Romania)

2018

Abstract This study focuses on terrestrial gastropod communities in a karst area, where the presence of water and the limestone generates favourable environment for land snails. Three limestone gorges were analysed located in the southeast of the Metaliferi Mountains. Four different habitats in three limestone gorges were analysed – Glodului, Cibului and Mada. A total of 42 species of land snails were identified. The terrestrial gastropod communities in the area are dominated by calciphile species, such as Granaria frumentum, Truncatellina cylindrica and Alopia bielzii madensis. The differences between the analysed habitats are not pronounced enough to be reflected in the structure of the s…
