Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts datorrakstā latviešu valodā uz 40 lappusēm. Tas satur 23 attēlus, 3 tabulas, 38 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem un 1 pielikumu. Mērķis: Novērtēt noguruma ietekmi uz spēju izšķirt bioloģisko kustību dažādu trokšņu apstākļos. Pētījuma dalībnieki: Pētījumā piedalījās 159 datorlietotāji vecumā no 12 līdz 55 gadiem. Metodes: Datorizēta programma, kas attēlo bioloģisko kustību un rada papildu troksni punktu veidā, tika novērtēta pētījuma dalībnieku spēja atšķirt cilvēka bioloģisko kustību no haotisku punktu kustības dažādu trokšņu apstākļos. Bosnia and Herzegovina has been fragile state controlled by the international community since the Bosnian war that was ended by the Dayton Peace Agreement made in 1995. As part of the Dayton Agreement a new institution called the Office of High Representative (OHR) was established as the controlling body ensuring the peace and stability in the country. Abstract The purpose of this study was to explore the challenge of engaging Bosniak and Croat students in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in deliberative democracy within the context “two schools under one roof,” students receiving education in the same school building, yet attending separate classes and following distinct curricula. Findings suggest that group identity for Bosniak students was strongly tied to “being Bosnian” while Croat students expressed ambivalence and unease about their identity, balancing feelings between having their home in BiH and maintaining their Croat roots. Evaluation of olfactory intensity : comparative study of two methods

Two experimental procedures recommended for the evaluation of the psychophysical characteristics of odorous compounds, olfactory matching with the 1-butanol scale and cross-modality matching with the finger span are compared. The intensity of ethyl butyrate and guaiacol solutions presented at four different concentration levels was evaluated by a panel of sixteen subjects over five repetitions using the two methods. Each stimulus was delivered to the subject from a Teflon bag through a nose-shaped glass sniffing port. The importance of obtaining and proving that the odor of an extract is representative of the odor of the original product from which it was obtained, before analysis by GC-FID, GC-MS, or GC sniff, is discussed. The sensory methods, such as triangle tests, matching tests, and quantitative analysis, used to determine the representativeness of the odor of an extract are described. Beer extracts obtained by three methods were used to illustrate the interest of the sensory tests. A method using a mixture of XAD resins was proved by sensory analysis to give some extracts with sensory characteristics representative of the particular beers from which they were obtained

AbstractThe ecologically important lichen Cladonia stellaris forms thick carpets in boreal forest floors. In addition to affecting temperature and water conditions in the soil underneath, the secondary metabolites formed by the lichen layer are of ecological interest. In this paper, we investigated the distribution of lichen acids in C. stellaris collected at different latitudes in Finland and developed methods to quantify the two optical enantiomers of usnic acid separately.
