ECONOMICAL SYSTEMS - NEW TRENDS FOR APPLICATION INTEROPERABILITY
2012
Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) registered an important increase in the past years. The aim of the Paper is to analyse the manner in which these technologies are used by the local business and how they can lead to the improvement of processes within enterprises. The paper includes the results of a study dedicated to determine the level of usage of these technologies in Romanian companies.
Psychological Detachment as a Mediator Between Successive Days Job Stress and Negative Affect of Teachers
2022
The study investigated the mediating role of teachers' psychological detachment between successive days' job stress and negative affect. Fifty-seven Finnish teachers answered to a mobile diary four times a day on two successive workdays assessing their negative affect, three times a day assessing their job stress and once a day after work assessing their psychological detachment from work. Two-level modeling on both the between individual level and within day level was used to test the mediational model. The data supported the mediational model where teachers' job stress hinders their psychological detachment, which again increases their negative affect and job stress on the subsequent day.…
The attenuation and the attenuators: strategies and tactics
2013
This work is inscribed in a research project (ES.POR.ATENUAÇÃO) that seeks to analyze and explain the attenuator activity in different regional varieties…
Leaders’ intensified job demands : Their multi-level associations with leader-follower relationships and follower well-being
2022
To study the ever-increasing pace of work practices, we investigated leader experiences of intensified job demands (IJDs) and their effects on followers. Based on the challenge-hindrance approach, different kinds of job demands may produce either negative or positive work-related outcomes. Using this perspective, we investigated the leaders IJDs against their followers’ satisfaction with them as leaders, follower evaluations of the leader-member exchange (LMX) relationship quality, and their personal well-being (burnout and work engagement). Of the four IJDs, (1) work intensification and (2) career-related planning demands were conceptualised as negative hindrances for leaders, whereas (3) …
6-Amino-2-(pivaloylamino)pyridinium benzoate
2013
In the crystal structure of the title salt, C10H16N3O+·C7H5O2−, the cations and anions are linked to each other via N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming infinite chains running along [010]. The crystal structure also features C—H⋯O and π–π stacking interactions, which assemble the chains into supramolecular layers parallel to (100). The π–π stacking interactions are observed between the pyridine rings of inversion-related cations with a centroid–centroid distance of 3.867 (2) Å. Academy Professor Kari Rissanen (Academy of Finland grant Nos. 122350, 140718, 265328 and 263256) and th…
Injection of Donor-Derived OX62+ Splenic Dendritic Cells With Anti-CD4 Monoclonal Antibody Generates CD4+CD25+FOXP3+ Regulatory T Cells That Prolong …
2009
Abstract Objective To examine in a rat model the ability of donor dendritic cells and anti-CD4 monoclonal antibody (mAb) to generate donor-specific CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells (Tregs) and to evaluate the capacity of these Tregs to prolong skin allograft survival and abrogate the production of donor-specific antibodies after skin grafting. Materials and Methods OX62+ (nonplasmacytoid) splenic dendritic cells were isolated from Fischer rats using magnetic beads and injected (2 × 10 6 ) into Lewis rat recipients with or without treatment with a nondepleting anti-CD4 (W3/25) mAb. After 4 weeks, splenic CD4+CD25+FOXP3+ T cells were harvested using magnetic beads from conditioned animals and inj…
On the Use of XML in Medical Imaging Web-Based Applications
2016
The rapid growth of digital technology in medical fields over recent years has increased the need for applications able to manage patient medical records, imaging data, and chart information. Web-based applications are implemented with the purpose to link digital databases, storage and transmission protocols, management of large volumes of data and security concepts, allowing the possibility to read, analyze, and even diagnose remotely from the medical center where the information was acquired. The objective of this paper is to analyze the use of the Extensible Markup Language (XML) language in web-based applications that aid in diagnosis or treatment of patients, considering how this proto…
Tachykinin-, calcitonin gene-related peptide-, and protein gene product 9.5-immunoreactive nerve fibers in alveolar walls of mammals.
1991
The presence and distribution of the presumed pan-neural marker protein gene product 9.5 (PGP)- and peptide-immunoreactive (ir) nerve fibers in alveolar walls of various species was investigated by light microscopic single and double staining immunohistochemistry. PGP-, tachykinin (TK)-, and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CRGP)-ir fibers were sparsely distributed in a similar pattern in alveolar walls of all species investigated. No vasoactive intestinal peptide-, peptide histidine isoleucine-, galanin-, and opioid-ir nerve fibers could be detected. PGP-ir fibers outnumbered those staining for TKs and CGRP. There was partial coexistence of PGP and TK as well as of TK and CRGP. PGP-, TK-, …
Coexpression of vasoactive intestinal peptide, calcitonin gene-related peptide and substance P immunoreactivity in parasympathetic neurons of the rhe…
1995
Abstract By the use of light microscopic immunohistochemistry, the present study investigates whether substance P (SP) and calcitonin generelated peptide (CGRP), which are well documented neurotransmitter candidates in primary sensory fibers, are also expressed in parasympathetic neurons of the rhesus monkey lung. A combination of double fluorescence immunohistochemistry and staining of adjacent sections revealed triple coexistence of SP, CGRP and the cholinergic co-transmitter vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) in a large number of neuronal cell bodies in intrinsic peribronchial ganglia. In addition, there was co-localization of SP and CGRP in choline acetyltransferase (ChAT)-positive neu…
Classification, diagnosis, and approach to treatment for angioedema:consensus report from the Hereditary Angioedema International Working Group
2014
Angioedema is defined as localized and self-limiting edema of the subcutaneous and submucosal tissue, due to a temporary increase in vascular permeability caused by the release of vasoactive mediator(s). When angioedema recurs without significant wheals, the patient should be diagnosed to have angioedema as a distinct disease. In the absence of accepted classification, different types of angioedema are not uniquely identified. For this reason, the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology gave its patronage to a consensus conference aimed at classifying angioedema. Four types of acquired and three types of hereditary angioedema were identified as separate forms from the analysis o…
