Korpusonomastinen tutkimus slanginimistä Hesa ja Stadi digitaalisissa diskursseissa

Artikkelissamme selvitämme Helsinkiä tarkoittavien slanginimien, Hesan ja Stadin, käyttöä uudentyyppisen aineiston ja menetelmän avulla. Aiemmissa näitä nimiä koskevissa tutkimuksissa lähtökohta on ollut kvalitatiivinen, mutta tässä tutkimuksessa lähdemme liikkeelle laajasta digitaalisesta aineistosta ja tilastollisista menetelmistä. Tutkimuksemme on uusi avaus nimistöntutkimuksessa, ja nimitämme sitä korpusavusteiseksi nimistöntutkimukseksi, lyhyemmin korpusonomastiikaksi.

Novel functionalized cispentacin derivatives. Synthesis of 1,2,3-triazole-substituted 2-aminocyclopentanecarboxylate stereoisomers

Four 1,2,3-triazole-substituted ethyl 2-amino-3-hydroxycyclopentanecarboxylate diastereomers (3,4-disubstituted cispentacins) with a cyclopentane skeleton were prepared in enantiomerically pure form from racemic β-lactam 7 via enzymatic ring opening, epoxidation and selective ring opening of the oxirane ring with sodium azide. The formation of the 1,2,3-triazole ring system involved click chemistry: 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of the corresponding 4-substituted azidocarboxylates with diethyl acetylenedicarboxylate.

Trust is a critical issue in human - robot interactions: as robotic systems gain complexity, it becomes crucial for them to be able to blend into our society by maximizing their acceptability and reliability. Nucleophilic additions of sodium alkoxides to 4,4-dichloro-1,1-diphenyl- 2-azabuta-1,3-diene

The reaction of some sodium alkoxides with 4,4-dichloro-1,1-diphenyl-2-azabuta-1,3-diene is described. Whereas sodium methoxide, ethoxide or isopropoxide leads to 1,3-bis(alkoxy)- and/or 1,3,4-tris(alkoxy)-2-azabut-2-enes, the sodium salt of ethyl glycolate gives a Δ2-oxazoline. Mechanisms for the formation of these products are proposed.

Colorimetric quantitation of trace amounts of sodium lauryl sulfate in the presence of nucleic acids and proteins

A fast and sensitive procedure for the colorimetric detection of sodium lauryl sulfate (SDS) is presented. The assay is based upon the formation of a chloroform-extractable ion pair between lauryl sulfate and methylene blue that is quantified spectrophotometrically with an estimated detection limit of 150 ng of SDS. The method is suitable for the monitoring of contaminating traces of SDS in protein or nucleic acid samples that have the potential to interfere with enzymatic manipulations such as proteolytic digest, restriction analysis, or reverse transcription. The subject of the article is the ‘memory war’ over the memory of the Civil War of 1918 in Vyborg, and the displaced Karelians’ experience in the time of diaspora. Until the wars of 1939–1945 the culture of remembrance of the Civil War was divided in Vyborg and in Finland and many truths of the war were maintained in the Red’s and White’s own groups. The article details how the dichotomous history culture of Civil War memories has slowly transformed into a diversified and critical analysis over the past one hundred years. Toista maailmasotaa seuranneiden vuosikymmenten aikana ihmisten liikkuvuus lisääntyi merkittävästi kietoutuen yhteen laajentuvan korkeakoulutuksen kanssa. Käsittelemme tässä artikkelissa kansainvälisiä stipendiohjelmia ja opetusministeriön roolia Suomen sodan jälkeisessä kansainvälistymisessä. Tarkemmin sanottuna tarkastelemme suomalaisen opiskelijavaihdon kehittymistä kylmän sodan kehikossa, erityisesti opetusministeriön ja ulkoministeriön näkökulmasta. Physico-chemical investigation of the state of cyanamide confined in AOT and lecithin reversed micelles

Sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate (AOT) and lecithin reversed micelles containing cyanamide have been investigated by small-angle X-ray scattering, FT-IR, and 1H NMR spectroscopy at various cyanamide-to-surfactant molar ratio (X) and at fixed surfactant concentration (0.1 mol kg-1). Experimental data are consistent with a model of cyanamide molecules confined in reversed micelles, quite uniformly distributed among them and mainly located among surfactant headgroups. SAXS data analysis leads also to hypothesize a unidimensional growth of the reversed micelles with increasing the X value.
