Les Sciences de l’Information et de la Communication constituent un terrain d’observation privilégié du débat épistémologique opposant la recherche dite fondamentale à la recherche dite appliquée. Cette opposition produit systématiquement un déclassement qualitatif de la seconde au profit de la première. Nous souhaitons ici discuter de la pertinence même du débat ainsi que de ce déclassement qui en est la conséquence. Una aportación de gran valor hermenéutico porque integra tres categorías centrales en la ética contemporánea: globalización, deliberación y donación. Many philosophers have warned us about the dangers of modifying human nature in a technical way. La libertad es uno de los principales atributos con los que tradicionalmente se ha caracterizado al ser humano. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar si a la luz de las investigaciones y los experimentos neurocientíficos es posible seguir caracterizando al ser humano como un ser con libertad. Para ello se alude al conocido experimento de Benjamin Libet y las conclusiones reduccionistas que influyentes autores como Patricia S. Churchland o Michael Gazzaniga extraen para la filosofía práctica.
