Tutkielman tarkoituksena oli kartoittaa alakoulun opettajien käsityksiä tutkielmaa varten luodusta suomalaisen oppikirjan tarinasta ja Otavan yrityskuvasta. Lisäksi opettajilta tiedusteltiin mielipiteitä tarinoiden käytöstä ylipäänsä. Tutkielma tehdään tapaustutkimuksena Kustannusosakeyhtiö Otavalle. Tutkielman teoreettisen viitekehyksen muodostavat tarinat, tarinat osana viestintää ja markkinointia sekä yrityskuvaa ja mainetta käsittelevät tutkimukset. Tässä artikkelissa pureudutaan lääkärin ja poliitikon viestintäosaamiseen. Tavoitteenamme on pohtia, millaisia merkityksiä ja jäsennyksiä viestintä- ja vuorovaikutusosaamisen käsitteet saavat tai voisivat saada lääkärin ammatissa sekä osana poliitikon tehtävää.
