El objetivo del presente artículo es plantear una serie de reflexiones sobre la dinámica labo- ral reciente en la economía española bajo el enfoque analítico de la segmentación laboral. Desde esta perspectiva, la situación y problemas del mercado laboral se explican por un conjunto de factores relacionados con las prácticas de gestión empresarial y no tanto por la regulación que limita la competencia en el mercado o las modalidades contractuales. In this paper we analyse the impact of the Fifth EU R&D Framework Programme (1998-2002) in the Spanish regions, considering the characteristics of the respective regional systems of innovation. The starting theoretical framework is the interactive pattern of technological change where the interaction among the different phases of innovation processes and between actors involved is emphasized. Käsittelen tässä artikkelissa sulautuvaan metodiin perustuvan liike-espanjan kurssin luomista ja valotan hieman kokemuksia opetuksen kehittämisestä. Sulautuvalla metodilla tarkoitetaan oppimisen ja opettamisen tapaa, jossa kontaktiopetukseen yhdistetään erilaista tieto- ja viestintätekniikkaa (TVT) hyödyntäviä menetelmiä ja oppimistehtäviä (esim. The feasibility of working memory tablet tasks in predicting scholastic skills in classroom settings

Cognitive assessment in natural group settings facilitates data collection but poses threats to the validity. In this study, tablet‐based working memory (WM) tasks, the counting span, and reading span were used in predicting 12‐year‐old children's (N = 837) scholastic skills and fluid intelligence in a classroom with environmental noise. WM tasks had excellent internal consistency, correlated with scholastic skills, and accounted for more of the variance in cognitive performance (grade point average, fluid intelligence, scholastic skills) compared with individually administered (n = 190) digit span task. Abstract Both cognitive abilities and dispersal tendencies can vary strongly between individuals. Since cognitive abilities may help dealing with unknown circumstances, it is conceivable that dispersers may rely more heavily on learning abilities than residents. However, cognitive abilities are costly and leaving a familiar place might result in losing the advantage of having learned to deal with local conditions. Crisis response strategies in Finland and Spain

Crises are common in today's unpredictable environment rising the importance of crisis response strategies. Two societies in Europe are chosen: Finland, where trust in society is generalized to institutions, and Spain, where trust in society remains on the level of individuals. Using the results of the European Communication Monitor 2013 survey on crisis communication, we explored three hypotheses: “certain types of crises are often met with certain types of strategies,” “cultural context makes some crises more likely than others,” and “cultural context makes some response strategies more likely than others.” We find evidence for all three hypotheses and discuss our findings about perceived…
