Spanish research in Educational Psychology from a gender perspective (2008-2018)
2021
[EN]: A comparative study disaggregated by gender of the scientific production in Educational Psychology of researchers working in Spanish institutions is carried out. A total of 1949 authors have been identified who have published some work in journals indexed in the Psychology Educational category in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) corresponding to the years 2008-2018. The 56.44% of the authors identified were women versus 41.92% of men and a 1.64% of authors could not be identified. The results show an increase in the number of papers published in this discipline and an increase in the number of women working in Educational Psychology throughout the period analyzed. However, as a conc…
Spanish scientific production in literature through a gender perspective in the Web of Science (1975-2017)
2019

Validation of the Spanish version of multidimensional inventory of perfectionism in young athletes
2019
Are and bivoltine (Lepidoptera: Lycaenidae)? The discriminatory value of genetics in taxonomy
2005
Abstract Taxonomic confusion exists in several sibling species groups. The Polyommatus coridon species complex (Chalk Hill Blues) serves as a model group of sibling species in which genetic analyses provide suitable means for taxonomic clarification. We studied the allozyme patterns of the two described bivoltine species of this complex, Polyommatus hispana and Polyommatus slovacus , and compared them to the two genetic lineages of the univoltine P. coridon. P. hispana is well distinguished from P. coridon (genetic distance: 0.081), and most probably is a sibling species that has evolved during glacial isolation on the Iberian Peninsula. P. slovacus is genetically indistinguishable from the…
DETERMINANTS OF DNA METHYLATION BASED AGE ACCELERATION IN YOUNG AND OLDER TWIN PAIRS
2017
DNA methylation (DNAm) age, a novel marker of biological aging, has been shown to predict mortality and to be associated with physiological aging. However, the relative contribution of genetic and environmental factors to DNAm age over life span is not fully known. We estimated the magnitude of genetic and environmental factors in DNAm based age acceleration.
Polymorphism of Alcohol Dehydrogenase Genes in Alcoholic and Nonalcoholic Individuals from Valencia (Spain)
2004
Polymorphisms in the two variable ADH loci (ADH2 and ADH3) were analyzed in two groups (alcoholics and nonalcoholics) from a Spanish population. The frequencies were similar to those reported for other Causcasian groups. ADH2-1 and ADH3-1 genotypes were more frequent in alcoholics than in nonalcoholics, but the differences were not significant.
