Diplomdarba tēma ir "Krievijas-Baltijas valstu ekonomisko attiecību izmaiņas pēc sankciju ieviešanas: nozīmīgums, problēmas un perspektīvas". Diplomdarba mērķis, balstoties uz teorijā sniegtajām atziņām un ekspertu intervijas sniegtajiem viedokļiem, novērtēt Krievijas-Baltijas valstu ekonomisko attiecību veidošanas svarīgumu un attiecību veidošanas izmaiņas pēc sankcijas iestāšanas laika. Izstrādātais darbs sastāv no trim daļām. Oocyte growth is divided into five stages: stage I (primary growth stage), stage II (yolk vesicle formation), stage III (vitellogenesis), stage IV (oocyte maturation) and stage V (mature egg). The testis is of the unrestricted or lobular spermatogonial type. Spermatogenic cells include spermatogonia, primary and secondary spermatocytes, spermatids (which form cysts in the seminiferous tubules) and spermatozoa (free in the lumen). Absence of mutations in the WT1 gene in patients with XY gonadal dysgenesis

The WT1 gene is normally expressed during gonadal development and specific mutations in heterozygous form cause Drash syndrome, characterized by male pseudohermaphroditism and gonadal dysgenesis, renal failure and a predisposition for Wilms' tumour. These observations prompted us to test whether WT1 mutations are involved in isolated gonadal dysgenesis, being the most severe form of disturbance in gonadal differentiation. We studied 27 cases of 46,XY females with gonadal dysgenesis who had previously been screened for and found not to carry SRY gene mutations. Die Juristendiskurse haben uns viel über ihre Zeit zu sagen, und insbesondere über die Weimarer Zeit. Deutlich wird es am Fall Gustav Radbruchs (1878-1949), der nicht nur Rechtsphilosoph und Professor war, sondern auch Sozialdemokrat und Verteidiger der Republik. Von seinem Beispiel ausgehend wird hier der Frage nachgegangen, was es wohl bedeutete, in dieser Krisenzeit ein „linker Jurist“ zu sein. Dazu werden drei wesentliche Aspekte untersucht: die Vereinbarkeit von Theorie und Praxis, die Legitimation der Demokratie und die Kritik des individualistischen und liberalen Denkens. Darbā aprakstīts, kā, izmantojot kritēriju svaru vektora noteikšanas un alternatīvu kārtošanas metodes, tiek iegūts optimālais daudzkritēriju lēmumu pieņemšanas problēmas risinājums. In Defense of Cities : On Negative Presentation of Urban Areas in Environmental Preference Studies

This paper critiques a common research method, image-based studies, in assessing environmental preferences. The method is used, in particular, in the fields of environmental psychology, landscape studies, and health studies, here called empirical environmental preference studies or EEP studies. I argue that the established view in the EEP field that nature is inherently experienced as more aesthetically appealing and restorative than urban environments may be biased because of the image-based method. Asymptotic Hölder regularity for the ellipsoid process

We obtain an asymptotic Hölder estimate for functions satisfying a dynamic programming principle arising from a so-called ellipsoid process. By the ellipsoid process we mean a generalization of the random walk where the next step in the process is taken inside a given space dependent ellipsoid. This stochastic process is related to elliptic equations in non-divergence form with bounded and measurable coefficients, and the regularity estimate is stable as the step size of the process converges to zero. The proof, which requires certain control on the distortion and the measure of the ellipsoids but not continuity assumption, is based on the coupling method.

Tässä tutkimuksessa selvitettiin muistisairaiden ihmisten arkea tukevan teknologian käyttöönottoa ja heidän sekä heidän läheistensä kokemuksia teknologian käytöstä. Tutkimuksen viitekehyksenä toimi Lawtonin ekologinen malli. Tutkimuksessa käytettiin etnografista näkökulmaa haastattelemalla ja havainnoimalla muistisairaita ihmisiä teknologian käyttötilanteissa. Ensimmäinen vaihe toteutettiin vuosina 2004-2007. Ensimmäisessä vaiheessa kohderyhmänä olivat 25 muistisairautta sairastavaa kotona yksin tai omaishoitajansa kanssa asuvaa henkilöä sekä heidän läheistään ja viisi vastaajaa kuntien kotihoidosta.
