The paper aims at analyzing the location and the range of production of the coroplasts’ workshops in ancient Akragas. While the amounts of figurines and reliefs belonging to several distinctive types, which were discovered during the excavations made in the ancient town especially in the sanctuaries, testify the success of the local workshops, a category of objects, the molds for figurines and relief decorations, is more revealing about the manufacturing districts and the repertoire at disposal of the craftsmen. Las cuevas como espacios rituales en época ibérica. Los casos de Kelin, Edeta y Arse

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo demostrar la diversidad existente dentro del conjunto de espacios rituales categorizados tradicionalmente como cuevas-santuario ibéricas. Para ello, analizamos diecisiete cuevas con materiales ibéricos (ss. VI-I a.C.), cercanas a los territorios de Kelin, Edeta y Arse, así como dos ejemplos de otras zonas. Dicho estudio se basa no solo en el registro material, sino también en las características físicas y locacionales de estos espacios naturales. A través de la identificación de pautas materiales que ritualizan lo cotidiano, así como otras particularidades físicas y sensoriales, identificamos distintas actividades. Recientes prospecciones subacuáticas, llevadas a cabo en la zona de La Caleta de Cádiz entre 2008 y 2010, han sacado a la luz interesantes materiales relacionados con las distintas fases de la historia de la Bahía de Cádiz. Dentro del estudio general de dichos materiales, este artículo presenta unas pequeñas ánforas producidas en el hinterland de Éfeso, que constituyen las primeras nuestras conocidas hasta ahora de este tipo de importaciones en la ciudad de Cádiz. Dichas ánforas pueden considerarse un indicio representativo del comercio de larga distancia y del consumo de productos de alta gama por parte de las élites gaditanas durante el periodo imperial romano y la tardía Antigüedad. Cycles of time in the Iberian culture: the astronomical orientation of the temple of El Tossal de Sant Miquel de Llíria

We present an archaeoastronomical study of the temple of the Iberian settlement of El Tossal de Sant Miquel de Llíria (València). We find that the major axis of the building is oriented very close to the east-west cardinal axis. The entrance of the temple is pointing towards an outstanding mountain on the eastern horizon, where the sunrise around the equinoxes takes place. On the other hand, the absence of other constructions just in front of the cultic building seems to support the inference that the astronomical relation was intentional, because it would permit the observation of the sunrise from the temple. In questa sede si pone attenzione, osservando alcuni pellegrinaggi cristiani definibili come “minori”, ad alcune questioni relative alle relazioni tra ambiente, società e luoghi sacri, alle funzioni rivestite dall’itinerario pellegrinale in rapporto alla diversa composizione delle “comunità di pellegrinaggio” e alle ragioni “religiose” che hanno potuto sostenere la continuità di frequentazione dei luoghi di culto e il reiterarsi di certe pratiche rituali.
