MetaEmotions at Schools is a SEL program that aims at promoting the culture of emotional and metaemotional intelligence in schools, and at improving emotional awareness both among teachers and students. Aikaisemmat tutkimukset viittaavat siihen, että koulun yhteisöllisellä ilmapiirillä on yhteys oppilaiden yhteiskunnallisen vaikuttamisen orientaatioon. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan kolmen peruskoulun keskeyttäneen, vapausrangaistusta suorittavan romaninaisen kertomuksia koulukokemuksistaan. Tutkimusta varten toteutettiin jokaisen osallistujan kanssa kertomushaastattelu, johon sisältyi kolme tapaamiskertaa. Haastattelija kirjoitti kertomusluonnokset, joiden sisällöistä keskusteltiin osallistujien kanssa. Kertomuksista etsittiin haastateltavien nimeämiä koulun keskeyttämisen syitä sekä näiden tekijöiden yhteisvaikutuksia intersektionaalisuuden näkökulmasta. Introduction Bullying is the most common type of violence in school. Nearly one third of students worldwide are bullied, with negative physical, psychological, relational consequences for victims, perpetrators and bystanders.
