El presente artículo se ocupa de dar razones en contra de la naturalización de la lógica, en tanto en cuanto esto signifique una revisión de esta ciencia. El trabajo critica cada uno de los intentos históricos importantes que ha habido de revisión de las leyes lógicas -- intuicionismo, lógica cuántica, lógicas alternativas - y también intenta argumentar que el problema de la interpretación de la mecánica cuántica no tiene nada que ver con la naturalización de la lógica. Prioritizing covariates in the planning of future studies in the meta-analytic framework

Science can be seen as a sequential process where each new study augments evidence to the existing knowledge. To have the best prospects to make an impact in this process, a new study should be designed optimally taking into account the previous studies and other prior information. We propose a formal approach for the covariate prioritization, i.e., the decision about the covariates to be measured in a new study. The decision criteria can be based on conditional power, change of the p-value, change in lower confidence limit, Kullback-Leibler divergence, Bayes factors, Bayesian false discovery rate or difference between prior and posterior expectation. This article studies the scope of Polytechnic University of Valencia through the analysis of its scientific output since 1973 until 2001 based on the journal articles and conference papers available in the most relevant national and international databases. We analyze its productivity and time layout, according to the kind of document and language, as well as the scientific output by authors and departments, showing those most outstanding regarding productivity.
