Background: The prognostic impact of segmental chromosome alterations (SCAs) in children older than 1 year, diagnosed with localised unresectable neuroblastoma (NB) without MYCN amplification enrolled in the European Unresectable Neuroblastoma (EUNB) protocol is still to be clarified, while, for other group of patients, the presence of SCAs is associated with poor prognosis. The central nervous system of Drosophila melanogaster consists of fused segmental units (neuromeres), each generated by a characteristic number of neural stem cells (neuroblasts). In the embryo, thoracic and anterior abdominal neuromeres are almost equally sized and formed by repetitive sets of neuroblasts, whereas the terminal abdominal neuromeres are generated by significantly smaller populations of progenitor cells. Angiosarcoma of the breast is quite rare, and the development of cutaneous angiosarcoma after segmental mastectomy and radiation therapy is even less common. A cytogenetic analysis of a mammary angiosarcoma arising in a breast after previous irradiation and segmental mastectomy for infiltrating ductal carcinoma revealed multiple clonal rearrangements involving chromosomes X, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 15, 17, 20, and 22. METHOD: Denervation of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus muscles was performed in 28 New Zealand white rabbits by segmental resection of the suprascapular nerve.
