I aim to show that learning with this modeling based Educational Learning System (ELS) can accomplish the target of achieving higher order knowledge. The ELS is a system consisting of internal and external elements. The external prerequisites consist of technical and physical elements and the internal ones are shaped by the students pre-knowledge and the instructors teaching competencies including his/her social, emotional, and disciplinary knowledge necessary for teaching. Using social media and other Internet-based sources could distract students from decent academic learning and lead to negative learning, and self-control is required to foster self-regulated learning. Self-control involves the trait-like capacity for self-control and the state-like level of self-control strength, which could be used for performing self-control tasks. Capacity for self-control can be increased by regularly practicing self-control similar to a muscle that needs training for strengthening. AbstractThe accuracy of students’ relative comprehension judgments when reading texts is typically rather low. This has been ascribed to students grounding their comprehension judgments on cues that are not diagnostic of their actual comprehension level. Children's help seeking: the role of parenting

Abstract Ninety-nine families with a school-age child participated in this study, aimed at analysing the relationship between parenting and children's help seeking. The parenting data included self-reports on parents' child-rearing principles and behavioural observations during parent–child interactions. To test help seeking, the children were placed in a problem-solving situation and had the opportunity to seek help from the experimenter.
