Oxidative damage to erythrocytes in thalassaemia has been related to generation of free radicals by an excess of denaturated alpha- or beta-globin chains, intracellular iron overload and low concentration of normal haemoglobin (HGB). Two good indicators of such oxidative damage are the high red blood cell (RBC) malonyldialdehyde (MDA) production detected following exogenous oxidant stress and the decrease of pyrimidine 5'-nucleotidase (P5N), the most sensitive enzyme to SH-group damage in vivo. Reproducing pairs of measurable functions

We analyze the notion of reproducing pair of weakly measurable functions, which generalizes that of continuous frame. We show, in particular, that each reproducing pair generates two Hilbert spaces, conjugate dual to each other. Several examples, both discrete and continuous, are presented.

The article offers a contribution to the interaction research in the foreign language teaching and learning. It starts with an overview of various research approaches to the foreign language teaching and learning, from the 60s to the present days. A multimodal analysis of an excerpt of videorecorded classroom interaction is then provided. The analysis is focused on several aspects of classroom participation and teaching sequences. Some implications of the present research for teachers' training are finally provided.
