W artykule przedstawiona została problematyka funkcjonowania dyplomacji Rzeczypospolitej w stosunkach z Rosją w latach 1711-1763. Za dolną cezurę przyjęto poselstwo Marcjana Dominika Wołłowicza do cara Piotra I, które jednoznacznie zakończyło okres separatystycznych litewskich działań dyplomatycznych z pierwszej dekady XVIII wieku. Przywrócona została zasada prowadzenia wspólnej polityki zagranicznej Korony i Wielkiego Księstwa z uwzględnieniem większego zainteresowania Litwinów stosunkami z Rosją. SNP and SML estimation of univariate and bivariate binary–choice models

We discuss the semi-nonparametric approach of Gallant and Nychka (1987, Econometrica 55: 363–390), the semiparametric maximum likelihood approach of Klein and Spady (1993, Econometrica 61: 387–421), and a set of new Stata commands for semiparametric estimation of three binary-choice models. The first is a univariate model, while the second and the third are bivariate models without and with sample selection, respectively. The proposed estimators are root-n consistent and asymptotically normal for the model parameters of interest under weak assumptions on the distribution of the underlying error terms. UV detection is interesting for combustion optimization, air contamination control, fire and solar blind rocket launching detection. Most of these applications require that UV detectors have a huge dynamic response between UV and the visible, and a very low dark current in the range of the UV flux measured. (Al,Ga)N alloys present a large direct bandgap in this range and therefore can be used as an active region in such detectors. To take advantage of the large Schottky barrier, the good alloy quality, and to avoid any doping problems, we have developed MSM photodetectors. The first issue of Word, the Journal of the Linguistic Circle of New York, published in April 1945 by Roman Jakobson and André Martinet, both exiles living in the USA, features one of the first articles by Claude Lévi-Strauss (1958) (L’analyse structurale en linguistique et en anthropologie) and the last essay by Ernst Cassirer (2002) (Structuralism in Modern Linguistics), who died a few weeks before its publi cation. This is the official birth of structuralism, a term seemingly coined by the author of Philosophie der symbolischen Formen in his posthumous essay with its testimonial quality.

Tässä maisterintutkielmassa kiinnostuksen kohteina olivat mainosmusiikin herättämät feminiinisyyden ja maskuliinisuuden merkitykset televisiomainosten yhteydessä. Mainonta ja mainosmusiikki ovat vahvasti läsnä 2010-luvun ihmisten arjessa, ja siksi niillä on myös merkittävä rooli sukupuolikäsitysten rakentajina. Topological polarization, dual invariants, and surface flat band in crystalline insulators

We describe a three-dimensional crystalline topological insulator (TI) phase of matter that exhibits spontaneous polarization. This polarization results from the presence of (approximately) flat bands on the surface of such TIs. These flat bands are a consequence of the bulk-boundary correspondence of polarized topological media, and contrary to related nodal line semimetal phases also containing surface flat bands, they span the entire surface Brillouin zone. We also present an example Hamiltonian exhibiting a Lifshitz transition from the nodal line phase to the TI phase with polarization.
