Amygdaloid projections to the ventral striatum in mice: direct and indirect chemosensory inputs to the brain reward system

2011

Rodents constitute good models for studying the neural basis of socio-sexual behaviour. Recent findings in mice have revealed the molecular identity of the some pheromonal molecules triggering intersexual attraction. However, the neural pathways mediating this basic socio-sexual behaviour remain elusive. Since previous work indicates that the dopaminergic tegmento-striatal pathway is not involved in pheromone reward, the present report explores alternative pathways linking the vomeronasal system with the tegmento-striatal system (the limbic basal ganglia) by means of tract-tracing experiments studying direct and indirect projections from the chemosensory amygdala to the ventral striato-pall…

Sensorisen integraation intervention vaikutukset lasten toimintaterapiassa : systemoitu kirjallisuuskatsaus

2009

Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää sensorisen integraation intervention vaikutuksia lasten toimintaterapiassa, koota ja päivittää tietoa sekä tuoda esille tutkimustulosten kliinistä merkitystä. Tutkimusmenetelmänä käytettiin systemoitua kirjallisuuskatsausta. Tiedonhaku tehtiin sähköisistä tietokannoista Medline, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Cinahl ja PsycINFO ajalta 1996–2008. Lisäksi tehtiin viitehaku valintakriteerit täyttävistä artikkeleista sekä aikaisemmista systemoiduista katsauksista. Tutkimusten valinnassa käytettiin tutkimusjoukkoon, interventioon, tulokseen ja tutkimusasetelmaan liittyviä sisäänotto- ja poissulkukriteereitä. Tutkimusten valinnan ja t…

Perception oro-sensorielle des lipides alimentaires et obésité

2016

International audience; The gustation is a dynamic system able to rapid physiological adaptations in response to on-going environmental changes that characterize our feed (rhythm, quality, quantity). Based on the modulation of taste sensitivity thresholds, this homeostatic system contributes to build the feeding behavior by driving the food choices. Therefore, a dysfunction of this regulatory system might impact on dietary habits and thus, ultimately, on health. Consistent with this assumption, recent data report that a diet-induced obesity is associated both with a dysfunction of the oral fat detection system and a preferential consumption of fat-rich diets in rats and mice. In humans, a s…

Šķēršļu konstatēšana uz dzelzceļa pārbrauktuves, izmantojot milimetru viļņu radaru sensorus

2022

2014

The detection of odorant molecules has become an important challenge in different research area, such as the food industry, medical diagnostics and homeland security. Indeed, the thousands of odorants in our environment provide information on their chemical nature or their concentration. Human olfactory system is capable of discriminating thousands of different molecules thanks to biochemical mechanisms involving multiple protein receptor partners and a combinatorial coding. These biomolecules that include olfactory receptors and odorant-binding proteins (OBP) represent an interesting source of detectors for the design of biosensors. OBPs are small soluble proteins present in nasal mucus at…

Convergence Analysis of Extended Kalman Filter for Sensorless Control of Induction Motor

2015

This paper deals with convergence analysis of the extended Kalman filters (EKFs) for sensorless motion control systems with induction motor (IM). An EKF is tuned according to a six-order discrete-time model of the IM, affected by system and measurement noises, obtained by applying a first-order Euler discretization to a six-order continuous-time model. Some properties of the discrete-time model have been explored. Among these properties, the observability property is relevant, which leads to conditions that can be directly linked with the working conditions of the machine. Starting from these properties, the convergence of the stochastic state estimation process, in mean square sense, has b…
