Sex Differences in Feedback: Effects on Rod-and-Frame Performance

It has been demonstrated that feedback is effective in changing rod-and-frame performance for women if given the opportunity to adjust the rod to the vertical repeatedly from the same starting position. It is also shown that the significant difference between males and females in the Rod-and-frame Test is carried by the large difference in the initial tilting position.

Critical evaluation of the Obscure Figures Test as an instrument for measuring "cognitive innovation".

The Obscure Figures Test has been conceptualized by Acker and McReynolds (1965) as a measure of Cognitive Innovation. As a general concept Cognitive Innovation refers to an integration of different kinds of behavioral systems, e.g., creativity and exploratory behavior. PURPOSE: To retrospectively report the trends of change in several parameters of the human visualsystem over a wide age range in patients attending an eye clinic. SETTING: University of Valencia, Valencia, Spain. METHODS: The clinical records of 2654 patients were retrospectively reviewed, and the age, sex, spherocylindrical refraction, visual acuity, keratometry, and intraocular pressure were obtained. Foldable toric intraocular lens for astigmatism correction in cataract patients.

PURPOSE: To evaluate the results of AcrySof toric intraocular lens (IOL) (Alcon) implantation to correct preexisting astigmatism in patients having cataract surgery. Chronic social defeat stress causes retinal vascular dysfunction

Abstract Purpose The roles of vascular dysfunction and chronic stress have been extensively discussed in the pathophysiology of glaucoma. Our aim was to test whether chronic stress causes retinal vascular dysfunction and therewith induces retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) loss.
