This study aims to discover the impact of pedagogical leadership on new teachers’ growth. The research is focused on three questions: 1) Are new teachers’ feelings and challenges being understood?; 2) How do new teachers receive support from principals and the school community?; and 3) How does pedagogical leadership impact new teachers’ growth? The research uses the qualitative approach of case studies. Four Finnish schools were selected as participants. The first essay examines how people react to social networking services (SNS). In this essay, we attempted to extend the existing model, which includes dedication- and constraint-based mechanisms, by additionally including the obligation-based mechanism underlying SNS-related behavior. Une enquête nationale ayant recueilli 1320 réponses (839 analysées dans cet article), dont 56% d'agriculteurs, 26% de conseillers, 14% de techniciens/expérimentateurs et 4% de chercheurs, a permis de sonder leur perception des adventices. Les effets positifs des adventices ont moins d’importance aux yeux des sondés que leurs effets négatifs. Pour les effets négatifs, la perte de rendement (nuisibilité primaire directe) et l’augmentation du stock semencier (nuisibilité secondaire) sont les plus importants. This paper contributes to the discussion on the potential of different social media platforms in health behavior change programs. More specifically, it compares the outcomes of participation in different online community platforms in an online behavioral weight loss program. Results show that active participants on online community platforms perceive their service experience more positively, follow instructions more precisely, have a more positive perception of achieving their goals, and also feel that they receive more social support than do those who do not actively participate in online community channels, although no differences were found related to weight loss itself.
