Introduzione. La sessualità nella persona con disabilità viene affrontata con difficoltà e con inadeguatezza se non con franco rifiuto, con il risultato che le giovani persone disabili vengono, spesso, relegate ad un destino di solitudine e abbandono. E ciò si realizza ancora di più quando la condizione di disabilità comporta ritardo mentale. Metodi. Sono stati reclutati 25 ragazzi di età compresa tra 13 e 25 anni - 14 maschi (56%) e 11 femmine (44%) – insieme alle loro madri. Tutti frequentano l’Associazione Famiglie Persone Down di Palermo. The article contains presentation of different kinds of addictions connected with female experiences depicted in Patrycja Pustkowiak’s novel The Night Animals. These story arcs create a portrait of the main character based on the literary category of antiheroism and the most important ideas of corporeal feminism. The analysis of the metaphor “the night animals” on the basis of four examples brings the conclusion that social exclusion is caused by alcoholism, drug addiction and hard pornography addiction.

Too much? Excessive sexual experiences in bisexual women’s life stories

This article explores bisexual women’s sexual experiences at the edges of or between relationships. It draws on the follow-up interviews of a longitudinal interview set conducted in 2005 and 2014–2015 with bisexual women and their partners, who do not identify as bisexuals. Bisexual women’s spontaneous, detailed and affective narrations of sexual experiences in the follow-up interviews caught the author’s attention. Although the experiences were often narrated as pleasurable, they could be overwhelming, and women also expressed concern that they were excessive, “too much”. The paper suggests the advent of a new type of character in a popular genre of American high school films, namely a precocious and sexually assertive young woman. Such characters are usually highly intelligent and manipulative women who seduce unsuspecting male partners, often their teachers, for emotional or practical gain. Although their actions may appear morally wrong, they are of ten depicted in a positive light. The analysis is based on a selection of films considered to be symptomatic of the larger tendencies.
