From the memory of the experience to the relationship with the retailer : a theoretical and methodological exploration in the field of retail

Our research proposes an enrichment of the experiential paradigm by focusing on the consequences of experience. We support the view that an approach by the memory of the experience can partly compensate for the limitations of satisfaction in understanding the retailer-customer relationship. This qualitative study investigates customer behavior during the omnichannel customer journey. The study aims to increase the understanding of omnichannel service environments from a customer-centric point of view. The data was collected by interviewing 10 young adults (from 26 to 30 years old) who had bought a Finnish clothing brand (R-Collection) product via a digital or a physical channel. Circumventing deadlock through venue-shopping: Why there is more than just talk in US immigration politics in times of economic crisis

This article addresses the question of how the financial and economic crisis that hit the US in the late 2000s impacted immigration policies. We find that the crisis has not significantly changed dynamics. Instead, it has highlighted and aggravated persisting trends. This qualitative study investigates what is meaningful for responsible shoppers in online fashion retail. The study aims to identify and describe these essential themes from the customers’ perspective. The data were collected by interviewing nine self-proclaimed responsible shoppers aged 26–51 years.
