PurposeThe aim of this paper is to analyze the compatibility between entrepreneurial and social attitudes. Background Self-image is the subjective perception about one's own self, body, mental functioning, social attitudes, and adjustment in different aspects of life. Research has linked negative self-image with a number of problem behaviors and psychiatric symptoms in adolescence; however, studies of the relationship between self-image and anxiety disorders are still scarce. Method This study involved a community sample of 1305 high-school students (51.4% female) who ranged in age from 14 to 19 years old. The concept of sustainable development has been present in political discourse for many years. Striving to achieve it has become a worldwide priority. Success in this field depends not only on the right government policies. It is also a matter of society engagement. There are different direct and indirect tools intended to promote and reinforce positive changes in social attitudes. Among the most important ones are public awareness campaigns. The aim of the article is to present the ways in which they can contribute to sustainable development and how their positive impact should be properly assessed.
