The training and development of young players both as athletes and individuals is one of the task soccer governing bodies assign to professional soccer team in order to fully exploit the social aspects of sport activities. Recently UEFA imposed new rules to improve the use of home-grown players. We analyze a panel data of English Premier and Championship league clubs for the seasons 2001-02 to 2005-06 in order to understand what clubs characteristics lead to the employment of young players in the team during official matches. Abstract In a previous study we have researched the causes of the current global crisis, which manifests itself in financial terms, but whose origin is due to the ethical model of reference. Following these ethical issues, the aims and topics of the present paper are: producing a systematic analysis of the ethical indicators used in the current international practices; extrapolating the ethical ranking models with a high relevance in Business Economics and highlighting the strong limits of the methodology in current use.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to shed some light on the effect of the current financial crisis on corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting and CSR assurance strategies that companies disclose online to stakeholders, by dividing the time horizon into two periods, before 2008 and from 2008.
