The fertilized mouse egg actively demethylates the paternal genome within a few hours after fertilization, whereas the maternal genome is only passively demethylated by a replication-dependent mechanism after the two-cell stage. Three theoretically grounded hypotheses were tested that predict interactions between modern health worries (MHWs), somatic symptom distress, and negative affect.Cross-sectional.Hypotheses were tested in a representative German sample (According to the results obtained from the two samples, MHWs were only weakly associated with somatic symptoms and negative affectivity. Somatic embryogenesis was obtained through anther culture of Citrus reticulata, cv. Mandarino Tardivo di Ciaculli. The work was carried out to evaluate the response of somatic embryos inside a sodium alginate coating to different storage periods, and to the effects of the germicide PPM (1 ml l(-1) stop) and the fungicide Thiophanate-methyl (100 mg l(-1) stop). The effect of these alone or in combination, added to the artificial endosperm on the performance of the encapsulated somatic embryos was tested. A new method for rearing the citrus flower moth (Prays citri Mill.) (Lepidoptera, Yponomeutidae) on lemon [Citrus limon (L.) Burm.] callus is reported. In vitro somatic embryogenesis was achieved from zygotic embryo explants of a woody angiosperm species, the spindle tree, cultivated on various culture media differing in their sugar type and concentration, or in the applied osmotic potential. The highest frequency of somatic embryogenesis was obtained with a 350 mM sucrose, or a 89 mM glucose concentration in the culture medium. Experiments with culture media differing only in osmotic potential indicated that a minimal threshold osmotic potential is required to stimulate the emergence of somatic embryos.
