Using uncertain preferential information from stakeholders to assess the acceptability of alternative forest management plans

In forest management planning, participatory planning processes are often encouraged as a means to acquire relevant information and to enhance the stakeholders' acceptability of alternative plans. This requires the aggregation of the stakeholders' preferences that can be done in a wide variety of manners. The aggregation process strives to reduce the information into a single set of preferences that simplifies the information and allows for the use of discrete decision support tools. Bakalaura darba “Seriāla “13 iemesli kāpēc” (“13 Reasons Why”) naratīva analīze un ietekme uz auditoriju” mērķis ir izpētīt seriāla naratīva struktūru un noskaidrot tā ietekmi uz auditoriju. Lai to paveiktu, tika izmantota naratīva analīze, ar ko pētīts seriāla saturs, un fokusa grupas diskusija, kur tika apspriestas dalībnieku sajūtas un efekti pēc seriāla noskatīšanās. Darba teorētiskajā daļā apskatīts naratīva jēdziens, pievēršot uzmanību audiovizuālam naratīvam, kā arī seriālu naratīva aspektiem. Tāpat tika apskatīti arī mediju efekti uz auditoriju. Improving food offer in order to prevent and tackle undernutrition

When a person shows a decline in appetite or loses weight, is essential to adapt his/her diet in order to fulfil the nutritionc needs and prevent undernutrition. Three axes must but considered and combined: enriching diet (increasing the content of essential nutrients in a meal without increasing! the volume to be ingested); adapting food texture to orc capacities (chewing, salivation, swallowing); optimizing food sensory characteristics by taking into account food habit and food preferences.
Mourning Missing Migrants: Ambiguous Loss and the Grief of Strangers

While the term missing refers to various instances and practices, we focus on the bodies of deceased migrants that remain unidentified, and on the inability of families to mourn someone when there is no body to grieve for. We deploy some ethnographic fragments of how Italian communities sometimes mourn those who are buried without a name and we describe the many problems of mourning someone whose fate is unknown through a discussion of the notion of ‘ambiguous loss’. Our contribution articulates some of the politics around deaths in migration by considering how missing migrants and their bodies are mourned in multiplicity. peerReviewed

Policy-practice gap in participation of students with disabilities in the education and training programme of Ethiopia: policy content analysis

This study explores the extent to which the issue of special educational and training needs for persons with disabilities is addressed in the education and training policy of Ethiopia, with a specific focus on technical and vocational education and training (TVET). Focus group discussions and interviews were used to assess the content of the policy and related strategic documents, as well as legal frameworks and implementation instruments, in terms of the principle of inclusion. Les poisons du XIXe et leur traduction à l’espagnol : Mateu Orfila et son Traité des poisons (1814-1815)

Dans ce travail, on étudie une des œuvres pionnières de référence en toxicologie du XIXe siècle : Traité des poisons, publiée par Mathieu Orfila entre 1814 et1815 à Paris, traduite en espagnol par le Dr. Mariano de Larra y Langelot en 1819, et éditée à Madrid. Larra se vante, dans l'introduction, que sa traduction a été révisée par Orfila lui-même, détail qui n’apparaît pas dans les traductions en allemand, anglais ou italien. Nous présenterons les événements historiques qui ont accompagné cette première traduction, ainsi que les raisons qui ont conduit Mariano de Larra, père du célèbre écrivain romantique Mariano José de Larra, à traduire ce travail après avoir été exilé en France pendant …
