Il territorio dell'odierno comune di Carini, sulla costa a 30 km ad Ovest di Palermo, è più volte menzionato dalle fonti scritte antiche (Tucidide, It. Ant., epistolario di Gregorio Magno, atti dei Sinodi). Qui si localizza la città sicana di Hykkara, distrutta dagli Ateniesi alla fine del V sec. a.C.; l'Itinerarium Antonini, in età costantiniana, colloca la "statio" di Hykkara in corrispondenza di un importante snodo della via Valeria riconosciuto presso la frazione di Villagrazia di Carini. Abstract After nine years from Romania's accession to the European Union, the advantages are sustained with specific statistical markers, which could have been more positive if the effect of certain identified causes (reduced administrative ability, political instability, extended corruption, high tax evasion etc.) would have been diminished. Counterbalancing the benefits of the accession the opinion polls show the disadvantages. The aim of this dissertation is to analyze the convergence process between European regions by taking into account spatial patterns of economic activities. First, with the help of literature reviews on theoretical and empirical analyses of growth and convergence and on economic geography models, we show in chapter 1 why geographic disparities should be introduced in the study of convergence between economies. Next, the spatial statistic and econometric tools allowing to reach this goal are detailed in chapter 2. L-Aspartate represents a high-quality nitrogen source for assimilation. Nitrogen assimilation from L-aspartate required DcuA, and aspartase AspA to release ammonia. Purpose. Endometriosis is a painful pathology impairing women's daily life. Several studies have shown that patients report low mental and physical quality of life, but no general evaluation of their self-esteem has been found. Studies concerning physical activity frequency present inconsistent results. Therefore, the current paper aims to compare life quality and selfesteem in women with endometriosis with the Italian normative data of the measures used. Methods.
