In Zambia the Ministry of General Education implemented two national literacy programs in order to improve low levels of reading; the Primary Reading Program (PRP) implemented from 1999 to 2014 and the Primary Literacy Program (PLP) piloted in some schools in 2014 before being scaled up. This research examines the acquisition of basic reading skills among learners in familiar languages at the end of grade 2 in the two national literacy programs. Purpose: This longitudinal study investigated the simple view of reading (SVR) model and its cognitive basis in a transparent orthography of the Lithuanian across the transition from kindergarten to Grade 1. Method: The language and early literacy skills of 229 children (Mage = 6.79, SD = .47) were tested at the end of kindergarten (vocabulary, letter knowledge, phonological awareness, and RAN); listening comprehension and word reading fluency were tested at the start of Grade 1; and reading comprehension was measured at the end of Grade 1. The lack of replication of key effects in psychology has highlighted some fundamental problems with reporting of research findings and methods used (Asendorpf et al., 2013; Open Science Collaboration, 2015). Problems with replication have been attributed to sources of bias such as questionable research practices like HARK-ing (Kerr, 1998) or p-hacking (Simmons et al., 2011). W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań dotyczących związku pomiędzy poczuciem własnej skuteczności oraz spostrzeganym wsparciem społecznym, a lękiem jako stanem. Osobami badanymi były kobiety w wieku od 19 do 55 lat, samotnie wychowujące dzieci. Wyniki wykazały ujemną korelację między wysokim poczuciem własnej skuteczności oraz spostrzeganym wsparciem społecznym, a poziomem lęku, zarówno jako stanu, jak również jako cechy. Otrzymane w analizie regresji wielokrotnej wyniki wskazują, iż najsilniejszym predyktorem lęku zarówno jako stanu, jak i jako cechy jest poczucie własnej skuteczności. Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 43 lappusēm. Tas satur 20 attēlus, 3 tabulas un 63 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Pētījuma mērķis bija novērtēt, kāda korelācija pastāv starp fuzionālo verģenču rezervēm un maksimālo stereoredzes leņķi. Pētījumā piedalījās 22 dalībnieki, kuriem tika veikta redzes pārbaude Nove Mesto nad Vahom, Slovākijas klīnikā. Pētījumā tika paveikts, pirmkārt, tika analizētas pozitīvās un negatīvās fuzionālās verģences rezerves un salīdzinātās ar normām. Il cannabinoide sintetico WIN 55,212-2 è un potente agonista sintetico del recettore per i cannabinoidi con spiccate potenzialità antitumorali. Gli esperimenti riportati in questa tesi sono stati condotti per delineare gli effetti indotti dal WIN sulla proliferazione, la migrazione e la sensibilizzazione alla morte indotta dalla citochina TRAIL in cellule di osteosarcoma umano MG63. I risultati ottenuti mostrano che il WIN induce un blocco del ciclo cellulare in fase G2/M che è associato all’induzione dei principali markers di ER stress (GRP78, CHOP e TRB3).
