The article discusses selected lexical units found in the dialects of Silesia, which refer to the act of speaking. It examines more than 190 tokens and collocations whose common denominator is the meaning of ‘speaking’. Analyzed are units referring to the content of the expression (with the main semantic component ‘to talk nonsense’), as well as those referring to physical aspects of the act of speaking, such as the clarity and accuracy of articulation (‘to speak indistinctly’, ‘to stutter’), the pace of speaking (‘to speak fast’, ‘to speak slowly’), also the tone, pitch, and intensity of the voice (‘to speak softly’, ‘to say shrilly’). Arvioiden mukaan lähivuosina yli kolmannes maailman ihmisistä käyttää englannin kieltä. Tämä on jo vuosia näkynyt ja tulee myös tulevaisuudessa yhä enemmän näkymään kansainvälisessä liike-elämässä, jossa englantia käytetään lingua francana. Eritoten englannin suullinen taito, kuten julkinen puhuminen ja small talk, näyttelevät suurta roolia tässä kontekstissa. Taksonomia sprawności słuchania i mówienia w języku polskim jako ojczystym

In their article, Marta Chyb-Winnicka and Anna Tabisz present a taxonomic approach to the teaching of listening and speaking skills in lessons of Polish as a native language. The authors show that the 2017 provisions of the core curriculum for the Polish language in primary schools in Poland put special emphasis on the development of reading and writing skills. For this reason, Chyb-Winnicka and Tabisz underline the importance of teaching the two other skills, i.e., listening and speaking, and argue that taxonomic categories should be used to systematize the knowledge of these skills.

In this study, we introduce new insights into prosodic analyses as an emerging method to study what happens in classrooms interactions. We claim that the prosodic aspects (features of speech such as intonation, volume and pace) of talk are important, but under-represented in the learning sciences. These prosodic aspects may be used to complement, intensify or even reverse the linguistic content of speech. International audience; The main objective of this study is to test the perception of the vowel /y/ among the Polish learners of FLE, as it does not exist in their natural vowel system. We defend the hypothesis that optimal perception conditions can make the identification and acquisition of new sounds more intelligible.; L'objectif principal de cette étude est de tester la perception de la voyelle /y/ chez des apprenants polonais du FLE, celle-ci n'existant pas, en effet, dans leur système vocalique naturel. Nous défendons l'hypothèse selon laquelle des conditions de perception optimales peuvent rendre plus nettes, plus intelligibles, la perception et l'acquisition de sons nouveaux.

Dziewiętnastowieczne górnośląskie protokoły sądu rozjemczego jako podstawa badań językowych

Artykuł dowodzi, że w warunkach obcej państwowości ukształtował się w XIX stuleciu na Śląsku polski protokół sądowy jako gatunek tekstu. Oparty był na wzorach niemieckich, wymaganych przez oficjalne czynniki administracyjne. Zawierał konstytutywne wyznaczniki gatunkowe protokołu. Świadczą o tym liczne protokoły polskie zapisane w księgach protokolarnych sądów rozjemczych powiatu strzeleckiego, przechowywane w Archiwum Państwowym w Opolu. Istnienie i funkcjonowanie tego gatunku w określonej sytuacji historycznej Śląska, na przestrzeni siedmiu dziesięcioleci, w warunkach dominacji niemczyzny i przy stałe nasilających się naciskach germanizacyjnych świadczy o nieco szerszym zakresie użytkowani…
