Anomalous d-like surface resonances on Mo(110) analyzed by time-of-flight momentum microscopy.
2015
The electronic surface states on Mo(110) have been investigated using time-of-flight momentum microscopy with synchrotron radiation (hν=35 eV). This novel angle-resolved photoemission approach yields a simultaneous acquisition of the E-vs-k spectral function in the full surface Brillouin zone and several eV energy interval. (kx,ky,EB)-maps with 3.4 A(-1) diameter reveal a rich structure of d-like surface resonances in the spin-orbit induced partial band gap. Calculations using the one-step model in its density matrix formulation predict an anomalous state with Dirac-like signature and Rashba spin texture crossing the bandgap at Γ¯ and EB=1.2 eV. The experiment shows that the linear dispersi…
Multiple scattering theory for non-local and multichannel potentials.
2012
International audience; Methodological advances in multiple scattering theory (MST) in both wave and Green's function versions are reported for the calculation of electronic ground and excited state properties of condensed matter systems with an emphasis on core-level photoemission and absorption spectra. Full-potential MST is reviewed and extended to non-local potentials. Multichannel MST is reformulated in terms of the multichannel density matrix whereby strong electron correlation of atomic multiplet type can be accounted for in both ground and excited states.
Molecular and supramolecular structures of self-assembled Cu(II) and Co(II) complexes with 4,4’-[6-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-…
2020
Abstract The molecular and supramolecular structures of [Cu(PTM)Cl2]∗0.75MeOH (1), [Co(PTM)Cl2]; (2A) and [Co(PTM)Cl2(EtOH)]; (2B) complexes, where PTM is 4,4’-[6-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diyl]dimorpholine, were presented. In complexes 1 and 2A, the Cu(II) and Co(II) are tetra-coordinated with a distorted tetrahedral coordination environment. In case of complex 2B, an additional ethanol molecule is found coordinated with Co(II) leading to a highly distorted penta-coordinated Co(II) complex. In all cases, the PTM ligand is acting as a bidentate NN-chelate. Hirshfeld surface analysis indicated the importance of H⋯H (49.0–55.1%), Cl⋯H (18.8–20.5%) and O⋯H (8.3–9.9%) co…
Discrete Dinuclear Complexes and Two‐Dimensional Architectures from Bridging Polynitrile and Bipyrimidine (bpym) Ligands: Syntheses, Structures and M…
2004
One-pot reactions in aqueous solutions of the polynitrile anion dcne− {2,2-dicyano-1-ethoxyethenolate = [(CN)2CC(O)OEt)]−] with the MII ions (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Cu) in the presence of bpym (2,2′-bipyrimidine) afford the first mixed dcne/bpym compounds [M2(bpym)(dcne)4(H2O)2] (1: M = Mn; 2: M = Co) and [M2(bpym)(dcne)4(H2O)4]·2H2O (3: M = Fe; 4: M = Cu). The new compounds have been characterized by IR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. Compounds 1 and 2 are isostructural, with each metal ion being located in an MN5O pseudo-octahedral environment with three N atoms coming from three dcne− ligands, two nitrogen atoms from bpym and one oxygen atom from a water molecule. The extended structure…
Organotin(IV) Complexes of Aromatic Acid Hydrazides: Preparation and Spectroscopic Studies
1999
Abstract The ability of aromatic acid hydrazides, RCONHNH, to act as bidentate chelating agents towards diorganotin(IV) dichlorides has been investigated. The structure of the complexes were deduced from IR, NMR and Mossbauer spectroscopic techniques in combination with analytical data. The R2SnCI2.L complexes have octahedral geometry where the tin atom is chelated with one ligand (via carbonyl oxygen and hydrazinic nitrogen atoms), two chlorine atoms are in equatorial positions while the R groups are in the axial positions.
Insertion of isocyanides into the 2-one-1-propyl—palladium(II) bond: A convenient synthetic route to C1-palladated 1-amino-3-one-1-butene compounds
1984
Abstract Migratory insertion of isocyanides CNR (R = p -C 6 H 4 OMe, Me) into the palladium—carbon σ bond of trans -[PdCl(CH 2 COMe)(PPh 3 ) 2 ] (I) yields the 1-amino-3-one-1-butenyl complexes trans -[PdCl{C(NHR)CHCOMe}(PPh 3 ) 2 ] (IIa, R = p -C 6 H 4 OMe; IIb, R = Me), which have been characterized by IR, 1 H and 31 P NMR spectra. The reaction of IIa with nickel acetate gives a diamagnetic bischelate complex of the type [Ni(ON) 2 ] , in which the deprotonated 1-amino-3-one-1-butenyl moiety acts as a bidentate O,N ligand.
Synthesis, Structure, Spectroscopic Studies and Magnetic Properties of the Tetrakis(5,7‐dichloro‐8‐quinolinolato)gadolinium(III) Complex
2008
The synthesis and structural characterization of the neutral gadolinium tetrakis-type complex with 5,7-dichloro-8-quinolinolato (H5,7ClQ) ligands, [Gd(5,7ClQ)2(H5,7ClQ)2Cl], is reported. The GdIII ion is epta coordinated to one chloride ion and to four ligands: two N,O-chelated monoanions and two as zwitterionic (+NH and O–) monodentate oxygen donors. Electronic and vibrational spectra provide suitable markers to distinguish the presence of deprotonated and protonated ligands. The magnetic behaviour of this compound was investigated and explained by taking into account that π–π stacking interactions between the (H5,7ClQ) ligands give rise to a ferromagnetic interaction between the gadoliniu…
Organometallic complexes with biological molecules
2002
Novel triorganotin(IV) complexes of two beta-lactamic antibiotics, 6-[D-(-)-beta-amino-p-hydroxyphenyl-acetamido]penicillin (=amoxicillin) and 6-[D-(-)-alpha-aminobenzyl]penicillin (=ampicillin), have been synthesized and investigated both in solid and solution states. The complexes corresponded to the general formula R(3)Sn(IV)antib*H(2)O (R=Me, n-Bu, Ph; antib=amox=amoxicillinate or amp=ampicillinate). Structural investigations about configuration in the solid state have been carried out by interpreting experimental IR and 119Sn Mossbauer data. In particular, IR results suggested polymeric structures both for R(3)Sn(IV)amox.H(2)O and R(3)Sn(IV)amp*H(2)O. Moreover, both antibiotics appear …
Organometallic complexes with biological molecules. XI. Solid state and in vivo investigations of some diorganotin(IV)-chloramphenicol and cycloserin…
1998
Abstract Diorganotin(IV) derivatives of chloramphenicol, {=D-(-)threo-2,2-dichloro-N-[ β -hydroxy- α -(hydroxymethyl)- β -(4-nitrophenyl)ethyl]acetamide (=Hchloramph)}, and D-cycloserine, {=(R)-4-amino-3-isoxazolidone [=Hcyclos]} have been prepared. The stoichiometries of the obtained compounds were R 2 SnClantib and R 2 Snantib 2 (antib −1 =chloramph −1 , R=methyl and phenyl; antib −1 =cyclos −1 , R=methyl). The solid state configuration of the complexes was investigated by I.R. and Mossbauer spectroscopy, from which structural hypotheses were inferred. In particular, the experimental data suggested monomer structures both for R 2 Sn(IV)Clchloramph and R 2 Sn(IV)chloramph 2 , in which chlo…
Interactions of metal ions with a 2,4-diaminopyrimidine derivative (trimethoprim)
2000
The interaction of copper (II), zinc(II) and cadmium(II) with Trimethoprim (2,4-diamino-5-(3',4',5'-trimethoxybenzyl) pyrimidine) has been studied. The crystal structures of [Zn(Trim)2Cl2] (2) and [Cd(Trim)Cl2(CH3OH)]n (4) are reported. Compound (2) exhibits a distorted tetrahedral environment around the metal center and crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with a=10.2397(6), b=10.4500(6), c=16.3336(16) A, alpha=96.141(8), beta=106.085(5), gamma=96.551(5) degrees and Z=2. In complex (4), the Cd(II) centers are bridged sequentially by two chlorine ions to form infinite chains and present a six-coordinated environment; the compound crystallizes in the monoclinic P2(1)/C space group wi…
