Formal Contractual Agreements: A Transaction Cost Study of Tanzania Firms

This is exploratory study that aims at examining formal contractual agreements for firms in Tanzania using Transaction cost theoretical approach. Transaction cost studies have rarely being done on firms in Africa and Tanzania in particular. Sampling frame used is from Tanzania revenue authority records for registered business 2008-2010. The study is centered on business - to business buyer -seller relations. Primary data were collected from buying side of this business relationship. Random sample of n =150 buyers were contacted through telephone calls and questionnaire were delivered personally. The response rate was about 65%. The Patres ecclesiae?s works were a frequent topic of discussion at the time in which many humanists stood against the decadent medieval scholastics. That Juan Luis Vives was part of this tradition is demonstrated in his commentaries on Saint Augustine works. Despite its pedagogical function, the scholia of the Valencian author became quite subjective. In this sense, his ecdotic work or, specially, his «criticisms and censures» can be mentioned. Here, Vives strongly disapproves of the intense political and intellectual turmoil of his epoch. Psychological interventions to fight against the burden of the informal caregivers

Informal care has been conceptualized as a vital stress factor, which jointly with its chronic character and the lack of foresight about the time of its finalization, has been associated to the negative repercussions on the physical and psychological wellbeing of the informal caregiver. This situation has been generically denominated with the overall term of caregiver burden. Burden is associated with depression and anxiety as well as with abandonment and mistreatment of the dependent person. Resumen basado en el de la publicación Resumen en inglés Se presenta una revisión sobre la efectividad de las prácticas en educación científica en los niveles secundario y terciario. A través de la revisión de más de cien referencias, se concluye que no se han proporcionado argumentos sólidos para justificar la gran cantidad de recursos materiales y humanos necesarios para la implementación de esta herramienta educativa.
