Fascioliasis is a zoonotic parasitic disease caused by Fasciola hepatica and F. gigantica. Emergence of human fascioliasis prompted a worldwide control initiative including a pilot study in several countries. Given the necessity to characterize the fasciolid populations involved, the overall aim of the present research is, first, the phenotypic characterization of faciolid adults and eggs implicated in human endemic areas, where this initiative has been implemented, through a computer image analysis system (CIAS) applied on the basis of standardized measurements. Bakalaura darbs izstrādāts ar mērķi teorētiski izzināt un praktiski pamatot vecākā pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu sadarbības prasmes sekmēšanas nosacījumus kustību rotaļās. A giant planet beyond the snow line in microlensing event OGLE-2011-BLG-0251

We present the analysis of the gravitational microlensing event OGLE-2011-BLG-0251. This anomalous event was observed by several survey and follow-up collaborations conducting microlensing observations towards the Galactic Bulge. Based on detailed modelling of the observed light curve, we find that the lens is composed of two masses with a mass ratio q=1.9 x 10^-3. Thanks to our detection of higher-order effects on the light curve due to the Earth's orbital motion and the finite size of source, we are able to measure the mass and distance to the lens unambiguously. Inaugurācijas runas ir svarīgs un emocionāls notikums amerikāņiem, un ievēlētā prezidenta valodas lietojumam var būt nozīmīga emocionāla ietekme uz auditoriju. Pētījuma mērķis bija izvērtēt attieksmi un vērtējumu izsakošo lingvistisko elementu lietojuma nozīmi ASV prezidentu inaugurācijas runās. Šis bakalaura darbs apvienoja kvalitatīvo un kvantitatīvo pētījuma paradigmu, veicot diskursa analīzi. Rezultāti parādīja, ka personas vietniekvārdi un attieksmi izsakošie īpašības vārdi bija divas visbiežāk lietotās starppersonu diskursa iezīmētāju apakškategorijas. This article reports on a simple and straightforward preparation method of poly(amidoamine)s (PAAs) with hetero-difunctional chain ends as well as of several up to now hardly obtainable PAA derivatives of biotechnological interest, such as for instance PAAs of controlled molecular weight and narrow polydispersity mono-functionalized at one end with an acrylamide group, PAAs with star-like molecular architecture, graft-PAA-protein conjugates, “tadpole-like” PAA conjugates with hydrophobic moieties able to self assemble into nanoparticles in aqueous media.
