Wine chemical compositions, which result from a complex interplay between environmental factors, genetic factors, and viticultural practices, have mostly been studied using targeted analyses of selected families of metabolites. Réalisée en Bourgogne depuis vingt-cinq ans, l'enquête Insertion dans la vie active constitue un outil particulier et unique qui donne la possibilité de suivre l'évolution des conditions d'entrée des jeunes sur le marché du travail. Cette note présente les résultats de la dernière interrogation menée en février 2009, et donne un aperçu de la transition de l'école à l'emploi. En Bourgogne, 7 400 élèves et 4 800 apprentis âgés de 20 ans en moyenne, ont été interrogés sur leur situation professionnelle. Camera-based measurement of relative image contrast in projection displays

International audience; This research investigated the measured contrast of projection displays based on pictures taken by un-calibrated digital cameras under typical viewing conditions. A high-end radiometer was employed as a reference to the physical response of projection luminance. Checkerboard, gray scale and color complex test images with a range of the projector's brightness and contrast settings were projected. Two local and two global contrast metrics were evaluated on the acquired pictures. Stability in Parents' Causal Attributions for Their Children's Academic Performance: A Nine-Year Follow-up

This study investigated the interindividual stability and mean-level changes in parents’ causal attributions for their children’s academic performance across a 9-year period from the first year in primary school (Grade 1, age 7) to the end of lower secondary school (Grade 9, age 16). In all, 212 children participated in the study. The results showed that, after we controlled for the children’s level of academic performance, the parents made fairly similar causal attributions when their children were in the ninth grade as they did in the first grade. The techniques of spatial analysis and Remote Sensing represent an useful tool for the knowledge and the study of the Urban Heat Island phenomenon (English acronym UHI). In this study, among the different causes that lead to the generation of the event, those regarding physical features of the surface and the presence of different land use/cover such as: the high cover of urban areas and the lack of green areas have been examined. Resume De nombreuses traces de pieds dinosauroides, associees parfois avec la main, ont ete recoltees depuis 1960 dans les diverses formations greseuses de la base du Trias de la bordure orientale du Massif Central. Les niveaux a ichnites, dates par les donnees palynologiques, micropaleontologiques et palichnologiques sont compris dans l'intervalle Anisien-Ladinien inferieur. Chemomechanical preparation by hand instrumentation and by Mtwo engine-driven rotary files, an ex vivo study

Objective: To compare the disinfecting efficacy of the sodium hypochlorite irrigation by root canal preparation with stainless steel hand files, taper 0.02 and nickel-titanium Mtwo files with taper 0.04-0.06. Study Design: 40 extracted human teeth were sterilized, and then inoculated with Enterococcus faecalis (ATCC 29212). After 6 day incubation time the root canals were prepared by hand with K-files (n=20) and by engine-driven Mtwo files (VDW, Munich, Germany) (n=20). Irrigation was carried out with 2.5% NaOCl in both cases.
