Ameloblastomas are the most common benign neoplasm of odontogenic nature. Desmoplastic ameloblastoma (DA) was included in the World Health Organization Classification of Head and Neck Tumors (WHO-2005) as a variant of ameloblastoma with specific clinical, image, and histological features. This case report focuses on a DA which occurred in the mandible of a 25 year-old man. The main signals and symptoms included painless swelling with buccal expansion and tooth displacement. Although severe complications related to dental osseointegrated implants are uncommon, in recent years several cases of oral squamous cell carcinoma adjacent to dental implants have been published. Background Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the skin and mucous membrane presented with various clinical appearances. The aim of the present study was to elucidate the clinical profile of patients with OLP. Material and methods The dental records of 102 patients who visited Oral Medicine Clinic, Dental Hospital, Naresuan University during 2002-2018 were retrospectively reviewed. Results There were 75 (73.5%) women and 27 (26.5%) men, giving a female to male ratio of 2.8:1. The age of OLP patients ranged 20-81 years old with the mean age of 56.4 ± 13.2 years old. The transmandibular route is often combined with the transparotid-transcervical approach when extensive surgical field exposure is required, as in the case of deep parotid lobe tumors measuring over 4 cm in size. This procedure implies great morbidity and prolongs surgery time. Furthermore, in cases where additional lip division is performed, the aesthetic outcomes may be poorer. A description is made of the technique used for the removal of giant pleomorphic adenomas of the parapharyngeal space, without mandibulotomy. Background Ectopic teeth in maxillary sinus is rare and are usually removed via sub-labial trans-canine fossa approach (SLCFA). The aim of our study was to present our experience with extraction of ectopic teeth in the maxillary sinus via transnasal endoscopic approach (TEA).
