Carmen Laforet y la generación del 50. La narrativa breve y La mujer nueva (1950-1955)
2020
The aim of the following investigation is the analysis of the evolution of Carmen Laforet’s poetics from the 1950s onwards. The Catholic conversion of the author entails a literary approach to themes that must be considered fundamental for the generación del medio siglo and that, although indirectly, determine the process of adherence of the author to the abovementioned group. Therefore, some short stories and novels written after 1950 and the novel La mujer nueva (1955) are analysed, with particular attention to the process of configuration of the main characters in the works under investigation.
Introduzione Per una storia dell’antropologia al plurale
2022
Unlike all the others works concerning the history of anthropology as a single discipline in relation to a range of different traditions, this volume, Histories of Anthropology, offers a representation of anthropology at the plural. In addition to what is widely known, this approach embraces some disciplinary traditions that are still mostly unknown to non-specialists. The aim is to offer a privileged insight as to how the main traditions have been accepted, adapted and adjusted in different cultural and historical-geographical contexts, as well as to define the current role of the anthropological approach in such contexts. It is both a book of anthropology and cultural history, in which th…

Histories of Anthropology
2023
This edited volume presents, for the first time, a history of anthropology regarding not only the well-known European and American traditions, but also lesser-known traditions, extending its scope beyond the Western world. It focuses on the results of these traditions in the present. Taking into account the distinction between empire-building and nation-building anthropology, introduced by G. Stocking and taken up by U. Hannerz, the book investigates different histories of anthropology, especially in ex-colonial and marginal contexts. It highlights how the hegemonic anthropologies have been accepted and assimilated in local contexts, which approaches have been privileged by institutions and…

SULLA FIABA E SULLA LETTERATURA PER L'INFANZIA A PROPOSITO DI ALCUNI LIBRI
2023

Translation history: audiences, collaboration and interdisciplinarity
2013
Translation history constitutes a huge field of research where methods, theories, research questions and topics vary widely. One important question here is who we write history to (who is our addressee) and what kind of an impact the perceived audience has on the ways of writing history. In the case of academic audiences, an audience often is also a partner in research collaboration. However, there are other audiences outside the academia as well. In this article, I will illustrate the issue of audiences and interdisciplinarity through describing the work done in translation historiography in Finland. There have been scholars and writers from different academic disciplines and orientations …
