Earth has recently entered the new era of the Anthropocene, during which the rise of human activities are impacting for the first time ecosystems and climate on the global scale. Since the 1960s the green revolution has improved food production in quantity using industrially-designed agriculture, which has led to global pollution by pesticides and losses of food quality, biodiversity and soil carbon. As a consequence there is a need to implement agroecological practices in order to produce food safely and in a sustainable way. En este estudio de caso se aborda la intervención realizada en un centro de diagnóstico y atención temprana, a una alumna de dos años con hemiparesia lateral izquierda y dificultades en la manipulación y comunicación. Aplicando a lo largo de cuatro meses el sistema de Comunicación Total de Benson Schaeffer con el apoyo del método TEACCH, se pretende superar las graves limitaciones comunicativas de la alumna. Instanton Counting, Quantum Geometry and Algebra

The aim of this memoir for "Habilitation \`a Diriger des Recherches" is to present quantum geometric and algebraic aspects of supersymmetric gauge theory, which emerge from non-perturbative nature of the vacuum structure induced by instantons. We start with a brief summary of the equivariant localization of the instanton moduli space, and show how to obtain the instanton partition function and its generalization to quiver gauge theory and supergroup gauge theory in three ways: the equivariant index formula, the contour integral formula, and the combinatorial formula. Worldwide Diffusion of ISO 14001 Standard

We conduct an empirical examination of national conditions that promote the diffusion of the ISO 14001 standard. Our estimates confirm earlier studies on several determinants. While environmental considerations are important in the diffusion of the ISO 14001 standard, we show that other factors play a significant role as well, such as the prior diffusion of ISO 9000 and the country’s education level. Our main contribution is to provide empirical evidence for the hypothesis that the participation of a country or an economic sector in the standard-setting process is a major driver of its future adoption of the standard.

A multilight approach for documenting and modeling the appearance of large cultural heritage objects

In recent years, Computer Vision has played a major role in the investigation of sur-face appearance, particularly with the introduction of image-based rendering algorithms. Reflectance transformation Imaging (RTI) is one of these approaches. The RTI is a multi-light imaging technique that involves taking a series of images of an item using a stationary camera, while the location of the incident light varies in each photograph.
