L'Estetica della Natura nel Trascendentalismo americano

La tesi ricostruisce la visione estetica dei padri del Trascendentalismo americano, Ralph Waldo Emerson ed Henry David Thoreau. L'analisi è incentrata sull'esperienza estetica della natura, intesa come via privilegiata di cui l'uomo dispone per la conoscenza di se stesso, attraverso "lo splendido labirinto delle percezioni" e delle forme naturali. La ricerca analizza i tre saggi principali sulla natura di Emerson, redatti in un periodo che va dal 1836 al 1844, e il capolavoro di Thoreau, Walden del 1854, che declina la ricerca del maestro Emerson in modo originale, concentrandosi sulla nozione di selvaggio.

Lukutaitoa on tutkittu pitkään monista eri näkökulmista, ja säännöllisesti saamme lukea mediassa laajojen lukutaitotutkimusten tuloksista. Tiny Citizenship, Twisted Politics, and Christian Love in a Ugandan Church Choir

In 1977, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Janani Luwum, was killed under orders from President Idi Amin following his public criticism of Amin’s reign of terror. This article offers an ethnographic case study of a choir named in Luwum’s honour to extend existing research on the interrelations of Christianity, citizenship, and politics in contemporary Uganda. To do so, I draw a number of conceptual tools – tiny citizenship, authentic citizenship, twisted politics, and love – from work by and referencing Hannah Arendt, James Baldwin, and Gary Alan Fine. This chapter uses the theoretical framework of sense of belonging to explore how eldercare workers from Finnish service housing units for older people describe the use of digital devices and applications in their work and the work practices that relate to their sense of belonging. The study is based on interview data (n = 25) that was collected in 2018 for a study on digitalisation of eldercare. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan vanhustyössä käytettyjen teknologisten laitteiden ja sovellusten yleisyyttä ja toisaalta niiden käytön riippuvuutta työhön liittyvistä ja yksilöllisistä tekijöistä. Teknologian käyttö tiivistyy kolmeen pääulottuvuuteen: mobiiliin hoivateknologiaan, toimistoteknologiaan ja viihdeteknologiaan. An insecure attachment history puts foster children at risk for many kinds of difficulties, which may include psychopathology. Nurture and Play (NaP) for foster families–intervention for children aged one to five years of age aims to help the new attachment relationship between foster parents and their young children develop in a secure direction.
