Finnish upper secondary school EFL teachers' satisfaction with current textbooks

Oppikirjojen merkitys suomalaisessa vieraiden kielten opetuksessa on kiistaton. Oppikirjojen sisältöä ja käyttöä onkin tutkittu lukuisien aihepiirien, kuten esimerkiksi erilaisten sisältöanalyysien kautta (ks. esim. Everyone who acquires a new language at school or elsewhere has the right to learn good pronunciation. As phonetic errors are foreseeable, this paper begins by delineating deviations in (co)articulation and prosody which are typical of Italian learners of German, with the aim of examining how far these specific, predictable phonetic problems are treated in German textbooks used in Italy. Ar novecošanos saistītu biomarķieru un mtDNS mutāciju izpēte multirezistentās tuberkulozes pacientiem

Darba mērķis: izmantojot biomarķierus, noteikt iespējamo multirezistentās tuberkulozes (MDR-TB) infekcijas saistību ar imūnsistēmas novecošanos un noskaidrot mtDNS variāciju lomu slimības gaitā un farmakoterapijā. Darbā ir analizētas mtDNS daudzuma un telomēru garuma izmaiņas, un apskatīta MDR-TB pacientu ieradumu un citu saistīto faktoru ietekme. MDR-TB pacientiem konstatēts paaugstināts mtDNS kopiju skaits un samazināts telomēru garums salīdzinājumā ar kontroles grupu. Būtiskās izmaiņas vērojamas tikai vīriešu grupā. This article explores university students’ approaches to and positions with regard to making the most of their study time. The article discusses how various normative societal expectations around students’ use and management of time feature in their talk about how they organise their everyday lives. Aloitettaessa uuden kielen opiskelu opeteltavaa on valtava määrä ja aikamuodot ovat yksi tärkeä opittava asia. Kun opitaan ilmaisemaan tapahtuman aika oikein, monilta väärinkäsityksiltä voidaan välttyä viestin välittämisessä. Todennäköisin lähde aikamuotojen muodostamisohjeille on kirja, jota koulussa käytetään ja siirryttäessä asteelta toiselle, on sillä merkitystä miten aikamuodot on kyseisessä kirjassa esitetty. In this article, the synthesis by means of the spray pyrolysis method, of the CaMoO4 and rare-earth cation (RE3+)-doped CaMoO4:xRE3+ (RE3+ = Eu3+, Tb3+, and Tm3+; and x = 1, 2, and 4% mol) compounds, is presented. The as-synthesized samples were characterized using X-ray diffraction, Rietveld refinement, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), Raman spectroscopy, and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The article presents a textbook series EEverything Is Easy!" for teaching Russian to Polish students at junior high school, showing its structure and methodological foundation. The fi rst textbook in the series was published in 2014, shortly before the introduction of a law which introduced a ban on placing exercises that required writing answers in the textbook. The law resulted in the conceptual change of the series.
